Thai Students' Production of English Coda Clusters: An Experiment on Sonority with Thai University Students Taking an English Fundamental Course

The ISCH theory states "the universal generalizations that apply to the primary languages also apply to interlanguages" (Eckman et al., 1989, p. 24). The ways in which the participants accommodated difficult coda clusters were tabulated, and the differences were recorded in the form of percentages. None of the students' cluster production was considered to be in the high-achieving group.

Consonant-stopping coda clusters were considered for the participants in this study. For example, 'fast' /fast/ was produced as /fas/ while 'drink' /driŋk/ was produced as /driŋ/. Participants adjusted the nasal stop cluster /nd/, which appears in "behind". /bɪˈhaɪnd/ by omitting both consonants. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was used to perform a preliminary analysis of the UTAUT2 framework of RFID users in the hospitals.

Students’ Vocabulary Enhancement in Grade V

A Comparative Study Using Total Physical Response Storytelling and Jigsaw IV

Katemba 1 , Universitas Advent Indonesia Evi J A Sianipar, Makarios Christian School, Jakarta, Indonesia

Is there a significant difference in student vocabulary improvement between those taught through Total Physical Response Storytelling (TPRS) and those taught through Jigsaw IV? At the end of the program, a post-test was performed to check the results after the two treatments TPRS and Jigsaw IV. The calculated results showed that the p-value was .919, meaning that the population variances between those taught to use TPRS and Jigsaw IV were homogeneous.

This means that there is a significant difference in the students' vocabulary mastery improvement between those taught with TPRS and those taught using Jigsaw IV. This means that there is no significant difference in the students' vocabulary mastery improvement between those taught with TPRS and those taught with Jigsaw IV. Thus, there is a significant difference in the students' vocabulary mastery improvement between those taught with TPRS and those taught using Jigsaw IV.

The study points to the superiority of the Jigsaw IV approach over TPR Storytelling. The researchers used the TPRS and Jigsaw IV to see if these methods improve students' vocabulary mastery. Students taught using Jigsaw IV demonstrated higher vocabulary mastery than those taught TPRS.

Artificial Intelligence and Its Impacts on Employability

Others, such as Grose (2017), have predicted that the number of jobs created will be less than the number of jobs destroyed in the next 10 years. Thailand lags behind other countries in the field of artificial intelligence and the amount of literature available on the subject is minimal. What is the resistance to the introduction of AI in selected organizations?

What is the future of AI in selected organizations, five to 10 years from now. In the field of Higher Education, the participant said that UA had not received any jobs. The projected use of AI in the next five to 10 years is detailed in Table 2 (please see next page).

The current use of artificial intelligence in the seven participating companies in Thailand was at a relatively low level. However, the threat of artificial intelligence in the aviation business is minimal, as "artificial intelligence cannot take over humans, as humans are the main component" in the aviation business (Participant 1). There will be winners, losers, and higher levels of workplace turbulence in the coming years (Grose, 2017).

There were a few similarities, but also interesting differences that had been outlined in the survey results. Although the amount of AI use was still minimal in the seven companies in this study, this is bound to change in the future.

Effects of a Health Education Program on Eye Care Behaviors of Selected Students in Saraburi Province Who Wear Contact Lenses

Effects of a health education program on the eye care behavior of selected students in Saraburi province who wear contact lenses. The cross-sectional study by Pavasupee (2016) examined care and usage practices, as well as complications occurring in teenage students (N = 140) who wore contact lenses. To compare the eye care behavior of students wearing contact lenses before and after the Eye Care Health Education Program.

The eye care behavior of contact lens wearing students was better after receiving the Eye Care Health Education Program than before receiving the program. The sample group came from Muak Lek Witthaya High School students who wore contact lenses (N = 30). Most of the students (43.3%) in the sample group had a timeframe of using contact lenses less than a year.

The eye care behavior of students who wore contact lenses and received a health education program improved after they completed the program, as hypothesized. Proper eye care behaviors will help reduce the complications that can occur to the eyes as a result of contact lens wear. Therefore, those who wear contact lenses must have knowledge and self-care ability, which leads to correct and continuous eye care behavior.

Contact lenses and their accessories, including eye care equipment and research resources, were also limited. Predictors of eye care behaviors among contact lens wearing university students in Bangkok Metropolis [Master's Thesis, Chulalongkorn University].

Development of English Grammar and Writing Skills Based on Participation in a Peer-assisted Learning Center

To analyze the response of the participants and SPMs to the PAL center where the 10-week study took place. The difference in the number of students and SPMs in the focus group reflected the overall distribution of study participants: 66 students (an aggregate of the control and experimental groups) and 30 SPMs. The focus group questions were divided as follows: (a) analysis of the feedback from the participants of the university's Seamless Language Center, (b) advantages of the PAL center, (c) disadvantages of the PAL center, ( d) potential improvements that could impact the PAL center, and (e) analysis of the participants' recommendations for the PAL center.

The instruments used to collect data in this study consisted of the following items: (a) sample IELTS writing pre- and post-tests (Kaplan, 2016), (b) grammar pre- and post-tests ( Hopkins & Cullen, 2006) and (c) a student focus group. All study participants took a sample IELTS pretest before data collection. This indicated that the academic English writing skills of the experimental group were better than those of the control group.

In terms of the SPMs being useful, the dominant theme raised by the focus group concerned the element of collaborative learning. Another reported disadvantage indicated by some focus group members was the atmosphere of the PAL centre. Overall, this framework was shown to be beneficial in developing the academic English writing skills of participating students.

Although the methodology was successful, the participant focus group promoted the idea of using more technology in the PAL center at the end of the study. Second, the absence of a student management team for the PAL center made the day-to-day operations of the center somewhat problematic.

Support and Operational Factors Affecting the Success of Community Enterprises

In a previous study, it was found that supporting factors had a direct effect on the success of community enterprises. Supporting Factors of Community Enterprises (SFCE) is a latent variable consisting of four observable variables, namely, 1) human resource development (HRD), 2) community organization development (COD), 3) economic infrastructure development ( EID) and 4) physical infrastructure development (PID). Operational Factors of Community Enterprises (OFCE) is a latent variable consisting of four observable variables namely, 1) production (PDC), 2) consumption (CSP), 3) product processing (PRP) and 4) sales (SAL) ).

Community Enterprise Success (SUCE) is a latent variable consisting of four observable variables, namely 1) Teaching (IO), 2) Providing Aid (IAS), 3) Building Public Utilities (BPU), and 4) natural resource conservation (NRC). Descriptive statistics of the general data of Community enterprises General data of the Community enterprises Descriptive statistics. Community enterprise support and operational factors were correlated with community enterprise success at a statistically significant level of .01.

Community Enterprise Support Factors (SFCE) were composed of four observed variables, namely HRD, COD, EID and PID. Operating Factors of Community Enterprises (OFCE) consisted of four observed variables, namely PDC, CSP, PRP and SAL. Success of Community Enterprises (SUCE) was composed of four observed variables namely IDE, IAS, BPU and NRC.

Supporting Factors of Community Enterprises (SFCEs). 4) Physical Infrastructure Development (PID) .90** scaling operational factors of community enterprises (OFCE). Therefore, it was found that supporting factors of community enterprises (SFCE) and operational factors of community enterprises (OFCE) together can predict 57% of the success of community enterprises (SUCE), with a statistically significant level of 0.01.
