2. The Objective of the Meeting
The meeting was aimed to discuss the draft of management plan of Banana shrimps (P.
merguiensis and P. Indicus) with a refugia fisheries approach in West Kalimantan.
3. Meeting Note
Based on the results of the discussion, several important points could be noted:
• The draft of the shrimp fisheries refugia management plan (SFRMP) that has been completed will be submitted and discussed with the Head of the centre for fisheries research as the head of the National Fisheries Refugia Committee.
• There have been changes to the draft of management plan document that has been prepared previously, such as the outline of management plan document, the need to add information related to the fishing season and area, and also the identification of destructive fishing gear.
• Each chapter in the management plan document will be composed by a designated team member.
• All chapters in the management plan document will be collected and discussed at the meeting the following week (19 January 2021)
