Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station: Integrated System Delivering Research For Your Future. (A07- lemme083453-Oral)
Abstract:
The complexity of contemporary agricultural issues requires integration of disciplines across research and extension functions. Plant science research programs sponsored by the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station that comprehensively address biological and social science issues while engaging community partners have optimized public impact. Field station based
programs offer a unique opportunity to publically engage and deliver integrated programs. Lessons learned by Project GREEEN (a 6 million dollar/year plant science initiative) will be shared along with examples of program integration at field stations.
