การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลที่ได้มาจากการศึกษาลักษณะทางกายภาพแนวคิดและประวัติความ เป็นมา ของศิลปการแสดงหนังตะลุง รวมถึงการศึกษาบริบทสภาพแวดล้อมสถานที่ตั้งโครงการและ ชุมชนข้างเคียง การศึกษากลุ่มเป้าหมายผู้ใช้สถานที่ จนได้มาซึ่งปรัญญาและแนวคิดที่สามารถ ถ่ายทอดภูมิปัญญาที่แฝงอยู่ในเอกลักษณ์ ของศิลปการแสดงหนังตะลุง สู่พื้นที่และสภาพแวดล้อม โครงการ

สภาพแวดล้อมภายใน ก่อให้เกิดความสัมพันธ์ที่สอดคล้องกับการแสดงเงา ที่แฝงอยู่ในพื้นที่ใช้สอย ส่วนต่างๆ เช่น โถงพักคอยออกแบบให้แสดงเงาจากการฉลุลายม่าน โรงละครออกแบบให้ผนังและ เพดานเปิดปิดได้ และตัวม่านที่คลุมโรงละครออกแบบเป็นแผ่นหนังฉลุเย็บต่อกันฉลุลวดลายเพื่อ สร้างเงาที่เกิดจากแสงธรรมชาติและแสงประดิษฐ์ที่เกิดขึ้นตลอดทั้งวัน รวมไปถึงการออกแบบส่วน ตกแต่ง พื้น ผนัง เพดานตามพื้นที่การใช้งานพื้นที่อื่นๆ จะออกแบบตามแนวคิดเดียวกัน โดยผู้มาใช้

The arts of Shadow Play was initially inspired by a shadow play in the southern region of Thailand, the place where shadow plays were originated and where is the hometown of the researcher. The findings revealed profound relationship between shadow play conductors and the audience, the play and meaning embedded in it, the shadow play and its settings, the time and the audience’s feelings. The whole story portraying way of life in a community, society, and locals, along with the embellishment of light, color, sound, and shadow was highly considered an important factor that helped shape the way each shadow play would be performed.
The data were analyzed according to the physical aspects of ancient beliefs and the history in shadow playing arts, together with the study of context environment, the location this project lay on, the community nearby, and the local users. Far as it was concerned, the study allowed us to understand more of its recognizable philosophy and the concept to highlighting real existence of folk wisdom projected through the arts of shadow playing especially in this project’s settings.
In the study’s implication, to design to project lights, and to shadow characters was drawn upon data synthesized, aiming it to the appropriateness of light’s adopting within particular settings, which, in this study, was in a theatre. Indeed, the design also allowed users to finally see good combination of existing natural light and the aligned artificial one plus to find meaningful connection of feelings from inside to the outside environment. To illustrate, the design covered certain arrange of activities such as designing the reception hall with carved curtains, foldable and slide-open walls and ceilings, sewing carved leather theatrespread, together with additional design to walls supporting connectivity to the outside and other detailing of floors and ceilings.
