This is a e-mail.
• An e-mail is just like a normal letter that you write on the computer. The only difference is that some of the basic information is shown in different places.
• And just like in a letter, especially a personal letter, some information may be left out and you have to guess what will happen next. This is when you use prediction skills.

Dear Grandma,
I had a really bad week. Dad took me to watch my idol ‘Bad Boy Bill’ play in a football match on Sunday. I thought he was tough and I wanted to be just like him. But when I asked for his autograph after the game, he said impatiently, ‘Go away, I am not interested in entertaining a stupid child.’ How could he say such things? He’s not my idol anymore because I don’t want to become like him.
Then I had an accident in P.E. class and I broke my leg. Don’t worry, I am OK now. But it really hurt when it happened. The doctor said my leg is broken and put a cast around my leg. He said I have to wear the cast for 8 weeks!
I feel so unhappy. But it’s a good thing I will see you this weekend.
Love, Leo

Cola Geyser
This experiment is very fun but it will be very messy, so get the permission of an adult before you continue.
What to prepare?
• 1 bottle of cola • 1 tube
• 1 business card • 1 packet of mints What to do?
First, open the bottle and rest the business card over the opening.
Then fill a tube with mints. Position the tube over the hole on top of the business card, so that the mints don’t drop into the bottle.
When you are ready, slide the business card away and let the mints drop into the bottle. Run away once you remove the business card! Here comes the BOOM!
Why does this happen?
When the mints hit the soft drink, a chemical reaction happens and carbon dioxide is released. This causes the bubbling in the bottle. Because the bottle only has a small opening on top, the soft drink shoots up through the hole and into the air.
