About the University of Sharjah

The University of Sharjah (UoS) was established in 1997. Its goal has been to reach the highest ranks in international education rankings by offering outstanding educational

OVERVIEW

Research Institute of Humanities & Social Sciences (RIHSS)

The Research Institute of Humanities & Social Sciences (RIHSS) was established in September 2014. The institute falls under the Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies. Its main focus, as stated in its mission, is to activate and encourage research at the UoS. RIHSS provides all sorts of possible resources to faculty members and students from the colleges of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, Law, Sharia and Islamic Studies, Business, Communication, as well as Fine Arts & Design to conduct research, achieve patented innovations that benefit the community, and disseminate knowledge through workshops, seminars and conferences.
