The Department of Civil Engineering was established in 1429-1430 AH and offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Students of the department are prepared with various branches of civil engineering such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, construction engineering, management, hydraulics, water resources engineering, surveying, transportation engineering and environmental engineering. K1 An ability to identify, formulate and solve complex civil engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science and mathematics.
S1 The ability to identify, formulate and solve complex civil engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science and mathematics. The student can enter the program after he has completed the first year of the joint scientific training. The number of students admitted to the College is determined annually by the number of students admitted to the College programs based on the absorptive capacity of each department and the current year's cumulative percentage, with a cumulative percentage of 3.5.
Students who have completed their first integrated year and wish to attend college compete against each other based on their cumulative first year grade. Students are accepted according to the absorptive capacity of the program and the priority level, but the cumulative proportion of students is not lower than the proportion determined by the section's board of directors and the college assembly determined for the current year (10 places per cumulative level of 3.5). Students are admitted according to the absorptive capacity of the program and the priority rate, but the cumulative proportion of students is not lower than the proportion determined by the section board and the college board for the current year (10 places per cumulative rate of 3.75).
To enter a Bachelor of Science program in Civil Engineering, the student must complete 162 credits over 10 semesters.

Leadership in the field of student activities and the achievement of qualitative distinction in the discovery of students' talents and abilities and the development of their creative and creative energy. Providing specific targets and planning activities in various fields through a strategic plan for student activities in the program and the college, supporting the curriculum and meeting the needs of the student community to contribute to the establishment of a generation that believes in belonging, work and social responsibility and can develop itself and its talents, contributing to the development of students behaviourally, cognitively and emotionally. 9 - Selection of outstanding students' elements in internal cultural and sports competitions; To represent the college in the various central competitions (sports and culture) organized by the Dean of Student Affairs at university level.
Most courses from the Civil Engineering curriculum are taught in normal classrooms. Courses that require special computer laboratories are given in the computer classroom in the Laboratories building. The Department of Civil Engineering contains seven major laboratories in different areas of specialization in civil engineering.
These laboratories are equipped with the modern devices that contribute to the improvement of the efficiency and quality of the educational process in the course levels as well as the graduation projects, which is reflected in the efficiency and quality of the program outputs. In addition, these laboratories support the scientific research process for students and staff members in the department. The laboratory serves the core and elective courses of the programs in the Civil Engineering Department.
The Soil Mechanics Laboratory in the Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering - Jouf University includes the latest ground equipment that helps civil engineering students in the scientific teaching process and applications of laboratory and field tests on the ground. In addition to contributing to scientific research in the field of soil mechanics and foundation engineering. The construction materials laboratory is concerned with the study and determination of the physical, chemical and engineering properties of metals and materials used in the field of construction engineering.
It also includes devices for experimenting with steel's resistance to pitting and corrosion, for the importance of these in the construction fields. The laboratory contains equipment and devices for carrying out experiments on the components of concrete: cement, aggregates and wet and dry concrete. The laboratory serves the educational purposes for the students in teaching the practical part of the Course Properties and testing of concrete and building materials and carrying out laboratory experiments in the graduation project.
The Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics Laboratory aims to study the properties and flow of water within water networks and sewers, which are considered one of the most important components of the infrastructure of any civilized city. The Environmental Laboratory at the College of Engineering, Jouf University contains the latest devices that contribute to introducing students to how to evaluate water and wastewater quality standards according to internationally standardized methods.
