B. Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes

1. Course Description

This course has been designed to impart to the students the fundamental knowledge that is required to practice as a successful physician and a surgeon. This course will be

delivered over a period of 15-weeks during which, the students will have an opportunity to consolidate previously acquired knowledge and skills in the field of surgery. Students will be provided with additional opportunities to gain advanced understanding of the management of cases in general surgery as well as in its sub-specialties such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, gastrointestinal, transplantation.

2. Course Main Objective

At the end of the course, students should be able to diagnose and treat common surgical diseases, logically and ethically.
