Catalog description :
This course is designed to explain major aspects of ad hoc and sensor networking. The lessons cover different goals including design, performance evaluation and application requirements. We start with the gn issues related to the implementations of ad hoc and discussing desi
sensor network applications. The challenges such as mobility, disconnections and battery power consumption are highlighted.
Moreover, this course details adhoc routing protocols such as proactive, tive, and hybrid protocols. It also covers the IEEE 802.11 technology reac
and discusses their characteristics and operations. The projects are designed to let students be familiar in designing a mobile ad hoc network
using the NS3 network simulator .
