, Starting from March 2006 – June 2009 working as a Stem Cell laboratory medical technologist.

Responsibilities and duties:

 Collection of cord blood samples.

 Processing, cryopreservation and storage cord blood units using special procedure which takes from 4to 5 hours for each sample.

 Thawing and Infusion cord blood samples.

 Performed cell count and viability.

 Reading the stem cells amount using cell counter machines including flowcytometry.

 Performed CD34+ hematopoietic stem cell quantitation using ISHAG method.

 Performed internal & external quality control activities.

 Following CAP /AABB and FACT standards including formatting, quality assurance and quality control testing.

 Recorded results in the Cerner Computer system.

 Do many seminars with different topics including Brain tumors, PCR, CFU, GXP and Aging.

Irbid, Jordan, 2005, two months at polymerase chain reaction laboratory working with master degree students in there research which was about the toxicity of Glutathione –S- Transferases enzyme and have been trained to do:

DNA extraction, PCR reaction, gel preparation, gel electrophoresis.
