Based on the center's strong belief in the profitability of palm cultivation as an economic project that provides increased income for farmers and contributes to the change in national income sources, the program i. Then the harvest season came to illustrate by practical evidence the degree of success of the program. The comparison between the fruits that applied the program and those that did not, showed that the weight of the latter has not changed and remains at the level of 120-155 dates per kg.

Administration of any of the various solvents of the ingested seed portion resulted in a reduction statistically indicative of antioxidant pressure. Vito's chemical study showed that the effectiveness of the fractions may be due to the fact that the seeds contain sterols, tannins and flavonoids. It is worth noting that compositions with the same activity as estrogen are useful in osteoporosis and protecting women from cardiovascular diseases after the end of menstruation.

HOW TO USE BIOLOGICAL CONTROL AGENTS FOR MANAGING MITE PESTS, SUCH AS THE
OLIGONYCHUS AFRASIATICUS”
Abstract
Introduction
A general idea about biological life of
Date mite description
The pest mite adult
Biology
Pest mite (olygonichus afrasiaticus) damage
How to fight this phenomenon?
Several natural enemies of date mite (O. afrasiaticus) have been identified, such as the ladybug Stethorus punctillum (Weise), and mite predators such as Phytoseiulus persimilis, Neoseiulus Californicus. This mite predator (Stethorus punctillum) is very common in the wargla palm forest and in most of Algeria's oases. The ladybug (S. punctillum) plays an important role in the control of date pest mite (O. afrasiaticus) although it is not enough. for a full protection of the palm grove. This first biological fight's attempt against pest mite (O. afrasiaticus) in Algeria, to release some ladybugs (S. punctillum), is very promising to protect date palms against acariasis.
Conclusion
This predatory mite can eat 75 to 100 pest mites (O. afrasiaticus) per day, regardless of the development stage of the pest mite (egg or adult). These entire potential predators for the pest mites (O. afrasiaticus) need to be protected to determine which predator is the most powerful to control the phytophage mites. The predatory mite (Stethorus punctillum (weise)) plays an important role in the control of the pest mite (O. afrasiaticus).
Determining 1) the period during which the female flowers of the Najda date palm remain susceptible to pollination and 2) the most suitable pollinator to induce the metaxenia effect is of great importance to date palm growers. To this end, six 15-year-old Najda palms growing in the same environment of the Zagora Date Palm Experiment Station were carefully selected and used to study the effects of 3 pollinator cultivars, including: Moroccan selected males NP3 and NP4 and a normal male, which is commonly used by local growers. The other six palms were used to study the effect of pollination time and were therefore pollinated one, seven, ten and fifteen days after opening the female.
EFFECTS OF TIME OF POLLINATION AND
In its strategy of intensifying and expanding date palm cultivation, Morocco has succeeded in selecting and micropropagating new date palm genotypes known for their high fruit quality and Bayoud disease resistance.
OF POLLEN SOURCE
ON YIELD AND FRUIT QUALITY OF ‘NAJDA’ DATE PALM CULTIVAR (PHOENIX DACTYLIFERA L.)
UNDER DRÂA VALLEY CONDITIONS IN MOROCCO
Varieties that are pollinated in the first instar (during the first day after opening the bract) are rare. b) The use of pollen from a male palm with important characteristics such as the production of the necessary quantity of pollen grains with a high fertilization capacity and with metaxenic/xenic effects on fruit quality and ripeness. The timing of flower receptivity and the source of the pollen grains are important factors to consider when choosing a combination of varieties for the establishment of a new date palm plantation. This is the case in Morocco, which has managed to select and micropropagate new date palm genotypes, known for their high fruit quality and resistance to Bayoud disease (Fusarium Oxysporum albedinis).
Materials and methods
In Morocco, growers usually pollinate most of their cultivars in stage 2, which is the week after the spathe opens. Some cultivars, such as Bousekri and Aguellid, do not pollinate until the 3rd stage, which usually begins 10 to 12 days after the petals open. This phenomenon of metaxenia was defined by Swingle (1928) as the effect of pollen on the morphological and physiological characteristics of fruit tissues and seeds.
Trial No. 1: On the Effect of Pollen Source
The period of susceptibility generally reaches its optimum 3 to 4 days from female spade opening and can extend up to 13 days depending on the cultivars and climatic conditions (Zaid and Arias, 2002; Sedra, 2003). In studying these effects in the date palm, Nixon (1955) selected a group of male palms, among which two palms exhibited extreme metaxenic/xenic effects: Fard No.4, which induces a remarkable hastiness associated with a relatively small fruit size, and the Mosque , which, on the contrary, produces large fruits, but with late maturity. Measured observations related to the percentage of ripe dates in each stem as well as the length, width and weight of the fruit.
Trial No. 2: On the Effect of Time of Pollination
Results
Effect of Pollen Source
In addition, dates from pollination with 'NP3' or 'NP4' pollen had flesh/seed ratios between 14 and 16, an improvement of about 28% over the control.

NEW DIMENSION AND CHALLENGES FOR
SUSTAINABLE DATE PALM PRODUCTION
USE OF BIO-PESTICIDE -
The date palm is said to have originated in the lands around the Persian Gulf and was especially abundant in ancient times between the Nile and Euphrates rivers. This attention is clearly evident from the rapid growth in the number of palm trees, the continuous increase in the size and variety of date products, the extensive use of modern technologies and the important initiatives taken in the field of date fruit production and marketing. The plants mentioned in the Holy Qur'an are not only of special importance because of their properties and uses, but also because of their relevance to the events and happenings associated with them.
Quranic References
Biopesticides play an important role in providing pest control tools in areas where pesticide resistance and environmental concerns limit the use of chemical pesticides. The founder of the UAE attached great importance to the development of agriculture in general, and to the date palm in particular. Furthermore, it is one of the twenty plants and vegetables discussed in the Holy Quran.
Medicinal uses
The date has traditionally been a staple food in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Sudan, Arabia and Iran.
Red Palm Weevil
Zaid identified by scanning e-mail, the photo of the first red palm tree scratch found in Jericho (Palestine). The red palm borer is one of the most destructive and dangerous date palm pests in Asia and the Middle East. However, the trunk of the palm can be infected in any part, including the crown.
Control
This pest lays its eggs on palm bark; the larvae eventually hatch. The damage is caused by larvae burrowing through soft tissue such as the tree canopy, upper trunk and at the base of the petioles. Larvae are responsible for damaging the palm and once they gain access, death of the palm is generally assured.
Biopesticides
To concentrate destructive moths in one place and kill them, the project uses two naturally occurring substances known as aggregation pheromones and kairomones. These two compounds are used to attract, trap and kill moose in large quantities. Using satellite remote sensing and imaging technology, they want to create a comprehensive picture of the geographic distribution of the marshes across Saudi Arabia.
