The focus of the project is to strengthen and improve the production capacity of the date palm sector in Palestine through the expansion of the planted area, which resulted in the increase in the quantities of dates produced and exported and consequently in the improvement of the livelihood of poor families. In addition, the project has established the Ministry of Agriculture palm nursery with 1000 date branches (Mexhul) and trained farmers and staff of the Ministry of Agriculture through a series of specialized technical courses in the date sector. Palestinian farmers received an additional 30,000 branches with an additional 2,142 dunums for palm cultivation over the past 9 years. Number.
Under this project, 12,000 suckers will be distributed to farmers, adding another 400 new families to this project every year. Under this project, the main pests and diseases affecting palm trees were managed, agricultural mechanization was introduced and technical procedures for the development of date palm production were introduced. This project has great potential to continue exploring and developing a new agricultural field in Palestine. By 2020, cultivated areas will increase to 14,600 dunums, and the quantity of dates produced is expected to reach 280.
In conclusion, this project will help reduce the chances of cultivated territories being confiscated, creating a huge benefit for the Palestinian cause.

CONCLUSION
In addition, controlling date palm orchards with beneficial insects in the open and beneficial organisms underground is a good means of keeping the date palm orchard safe without the use of chemicals. Recent studies have shown the presence of higher levels of pesticide residues in date fruits, indicating a dangerous trend in date palm cultivation.
Integrated pest management (IPM) should be recommended within the framework of integrated crop management (ICM) to achieve sustainability of date production. The date palm is a very important fruit plant in the Arab world and perhaps the oldest on this earth. Although the important factors that caused this decline were many, soil and water salinity is one of the glaring problems of date palm at present.
Therefore, this problem deserves a very serious consideration by all stakeholders of the date production and industry. Important aspects of this problem are presented here, including mitigation measures that may prove useful in reducing losses.
WATER SALINITY AND SODICITY
When irrigation water comes from rivers and canals, it is largely problem-free, although not always as shown in the Australian Murray region (Tee et al., 2003), but groundwater and untreated industrial runoff cause multiple problems in soil and plants. . In the studies of Hussain (1997) the EC and SAR of the soil profile (60 cm) increased tremendously by converting normal soil to sodic saline in three years (after harvesting six crops) when sodic saline water (ECiw= . 1.43 dS m-1, SAR 6.5 and RSC 5.7 mmolc L-1) was consistently used.

EFFECT ON GROWTH OF DATE PALM
Studies by El-Sharabasy et al. 2008) on four varieties of date palm; Samani (SM), Sewy (SE) and Bartamuda (BA) indicated that growth vigor during proliferation stage was significantly increased by supplementation of 4000 and 8000 ppm NaCl while washing.

Thus, irrigation water can remain on the soil surface for longer periods unless it eventually evaporates leaving a salt load on the soil surface.
SALT TOLERANCE OF DATE PALM
IMPROVED HYDRAULIC TECHNIQUES
LEACHING OF SALTS
IMPROVEMENT OF SOIL DRAINAGE
IMPROVED IRRIGATION PRACTICES
To increase the partial usefulness of gypsum stone, the additional placement in the water channel zigzagging at a distance of 0.5 m on either side was also considered useful. The effectiveness increased directly with the increase in the length of the gypsum stone cladding (Hussain et al., 2002a).

AGRONOMIC PRACTICES
APPROPRIATE INTERCROPS
APPLICATION OF AMENDMENTS
The divalent ion (Ca) can also be released from natural lime (CaCO3) in the soil by applying inorganic acids. In the case of saline irrigation, amendments must also be made regularly to mitigate the negative effects of Na, otherwise the physical properties of the soil will deteriorate rapidly, manifesting in reduced growth and yields.

FROND BORER
The date palm planters have been recorded in different countries such as Iraq, Bahrain, Yemen, Libya, Tunis, Algeria, Sultanate of Oman, in addition to other countries interested in date palm planting. The larvae and adults appear to be the main stages that cause damage to date palm trees due to feeding on the green leaves, especially in central Iraq, larvae that usually feed inside tunnels have led to the excretion of sticky material in the entrance holes. The infestation with this pest resulted in the leaf blade breaking or gradually drying, this infestation usually continues in dry leaves.
The mature adult of date palm leaves is a beetle of medium size, dark brown to black in body color, its body is almost rectangular in shape, the first thoracic segment covers the head. The larvae of date palm leaves are creamy in color and without legs and assume more or less a C-shape and lived in tunnels in the leaf like the adults (Fig. 2. The major damage of this borer is its larval ability to dig at the base of the leaves at the top of the date palm trees, the main character to find the infestation with this borer is to run brown sticky material from the holes made by this borer in different areas of the trunk.
During our survey in several areas of Iraq, we recorded 265 holes in one meter length of a date palm (Fig. 3B.
LONG HORN STEM (TRUNK) BORER
The insect pest overwinters as larvae inside the trunk of the date palm trees (hypernation), when the temperature is increased in the spring, the larvae made a hole at the end of the tunnel and it will metamorphose into pupae, the duration of pupal stage takes approx. three weeks, then the emerging adult finds its way out by making a round hole (Fig.3B). The damage and symptom of infestation caused by longhorn palm stem (stem) borer.

DESCRIPTION AND LIFE CYCLE OF THE
THE EGGS
Note: There are differences in body size between the backs belonging to the genus Oryctes and the fruit stem scratcher and the Arabian rhinoceros beetle are identical in body size, but they differ from each other by spots and body color (Fig. 1). The level of infestation in Iraq by the Arabian Rhinoceros Beetle, Oryctes agamemnon arabicus Date palms at different ages are exposed to infestation by the Arabian Rhinoceros Beetle, but the infestation is greater in 30-year-old date palms than in middle or older date palms. new in all the orchards in which the investigation was carried out, but the intensity of the infection is different between the provinces, e.g. Some date palms infested with the Arabian rhinoceros beetle, Oryctes agamemnon arabicus The Arabian Rhinoceros Beetle (and other borers belonging to the genus Oryctes) attack most of the date palm, such as the aerial root near the base of the trunk, the palm is very young date palm because the presence of several layers of leaves, but such an infestation did not occur in older and older palms.
While the infection occurred in the lower part of the trunk (about 1 meter from the ground surface) in all ages of date palms, damage was also observed in the mid-length of trees of different ages. In addition, no infection was observed in the upper part of young trees, but heavy infection was observed in this part of older trees. Agricultural control method Manual collection of larvae during annual services for date tree larvae on an area exposed to annual.
Integrated pest management to control date palm borer The main objective of the most integrated pest management project for date palm borer is to find either a new method or to improve already existing control methods, which resulted in the development of a new system to manage date palm borer and these system proved to be accepted economically and environmentally.
