The relationship of psychological adjustment to academic achievement in light of the
Corona pandemic. A field study among female students at the Faculty of Education
in Al - Muzahimiyah Shaqra Universty
Abstract
The study aimed to identify the relationship between psychological adjustment and academic achievement in light of the Corona pandemic among female students at the College of Education in Muzahmiah, and a random sample of 259 students was selected, which represents (52.4 %) of the total study population.
The researcher used the psychological adjustment scale and the academic achievement scale, both of which were prepared by the researcher, and the results of the study showed the impact of the Corona pandemic on both psychological adjustment and academic achievement among female student teachers, as the level of psychological adjustment among female student teachers at the Faculty of Education in Al - Muzahimiyah (Shaqra University) came to a medium degree as Personal emotional compatibility comes first, followed by academic compatibility, and finally, social compatibility is the least dimension of psychological compatibility among female students.
Also, the level of academic achievement came to a medium degree, and there is no statistically significant relationship between personal emotional adjustment and academic achievement among female student teachers at the Faculty of Education in Al - Muzahimiyah.
The results of the research also recommended the following: Providing means for psychological support in universities and the availability of counseling units to restore harmony and psychological balance for students.
