Conditions for hiring faculty at King Abdulaziz University based on the university’s council approval of decision number (8) in its fourth meeting conducted on 2/8/1441h

1- Applicant must not be currently employed at any governmental entity.

2- Applicant must have a Doctorate degree -or equivalent- from a recognized/pre-approved university.

3- Both Masters and Doctorate certificates must be equalized by the Ministry of Education.

4- Applicant must not be older than 45 years of age.

5- Applicant must have at least one published paper in an accredited and peer-reviewed journal.

6- Applications are for a single job title only, presented online. Paper applications are not acceptable.

7- Applications are screened and considered by the permanent committee for hiring based on rubrics which are approved by the university’s academic council, when approved, applications are forwarded to respective colleges.

8- Applicants must pass the hiring requirements of respective councils.

 Dean's letter supporting hiring

 Hiring form (three parts):

Filled out by the applicant Filled out by the Scientific Council Filled out by the Dean of the College

 Consent form filled out by the applicant

 A form listing the names, degrees and majors of section's faculty including teaching load for Graduate Teaching Assistans and Lecturers (male/female).

 Scientific Council assembly form for the purpose of interviewing non-university scholarship graduates.

 The assembled council's evaluation report of the

applicant's presentation conducted for the Scientific

Department attended by a representative of the college at

the Scientific Council.

Additional Required Attachments from the College/Scientific Department

In addition to the aforementioned required attachments from the applicant, his/her college are also required to provide the following attachments:

The department's –as well as the college- session letters approved by His Excellency the President of the university.

Information regarding faculty and the dates of reporting-to-work post-scholarship at their respective departments (Saudis).

Information regarding faculties at their respective departments (contractors)

Meeting the application's minimum requirements by the Scientific Council

The decision letter for the assembly of the scientific committee to evaluate the candidate's interview performance.

A report by the scientific committee of the applicant.

The required documentations and forms from the Ministry of Higher Education

A report by the assembled committee for the evaluation of the applicant's presentation conducted at the scientific council attended by a representative of the college at the scientific council.
