of the

nationatities

of

these mentioned ASEAN

or

6MS countries.

The applicant must have the officiat permission

to

study at Khon Kaen University from ihe institute/organization with which the appticant is affitiated

in the

hometand country, and

must be able

to

show the authorized signature of the highest rank officer in charge or by a

person with the equivatent authority.

The appticant must futfitt att the requirements as per those who are etigibl.e to study in that particutar curricutum at Khon Kaen University.

Schotarship Categories

This schoiarship is offered for regular prograrns, international programs or Engtish programs at a

graduate [eve[

KKU,

and not for any

special projects

or

special programs. There are three types of scholarships _as fottows:

Schotarship type 2.1:

The Partiat Scholarship

for the

appticant who has aiready received some support from an

external organization. Khon Kaen University wil.t cover for tuition fees

not

exceeding 200,0C0 Baht per year, covers the research/thesis cosis 18,000 Baht per year, cover travet expense not exceeding 10,000 Baht and V|SA extension cost 5,700 Baht {first time within ^Thai(and onty). Totat support not exceeding 233,700 Eaht per year.

Articte 9 The Rules and Consideration for the Setection ^process

The app(icant must have the official permission

study at Khon Kaen University from the institute/organization

to

which the appl.icant is affitiated in the hometand country with the authorized signature of the highest+anking officer in charge, or a person having equivatent authority.

An appticant who comes from the university/institute/organization that has a Memorandum

of

Understanding

with

Khon Kaen University

(at the

Ministry

of

University Affairs tevet, University tevel or at the Khon Kaen Universityls Facul,ty Levet) or those who witt return to work at their institution/university witl have first priority. Those who come from instituiions that

do

not have a Memorandum

of

Understanding with Khon Kaen University witl receive secondary priority.

The applicant who is appl.ying for the Schotarship Type 2 or Type 3 witl receive iirst priority over those who are appLying for Type 1 schotarships, respectivety.

The schotarships for ASEAN and GMS Countries' Personnel witl. be eventy distributed among

the

Facul,ties and departments, and

the

schotarship recipients shoutd come from various facutties and departments, except in the cases that contradict other conditions announced.

Conditions in accepting the schotarship

The time frame for the schotarship shoutd correspond to ihat set by each curricutum. lf the appticant faits to comptete his or her studies within the set period of the curricutum, he/she must cover any additionaI costs for the extended study period by himseif.

The schotarship recipient and the Facul.ty of the scholarship recipient must submit his/her

^{study report every semester,} which witt then be used rn the consideration for tlre schotarship renewaI for the coming acadenric year.

The decision to continue awarding the schotarship to the recipient in each coming academic year is up to the judgment and performance assessment by the scholarship committee

The University wiit appoint a committee with the authority to consider and setect the schotarship recipients, where the committee may consider if the amount of funding given shoutd be less than stated in the originaI schotarship announcement by taking'into account other sources of funding received by the recipient.
