The Role of the College of Education at Majmaah University in Achieving Social Responsibility from an Islamic Perspective

Abstract: This study aimed to identify the role of colleges of education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in achieving social responsibility from an Islamic perspective. The study relied on the descriptive and analytical method. The researcher built a questionnaire that was applied to a sample of (177) members of the Faculty of Education at Majmaah University, comprising four axes. The main findings are as follows: Cooperation with educational institutions in the local community: This is in building future educational visions for the development of community schools with an average of (2.82) and a relative weight of (83). The field of service education and development of the culture of volunteering and community service: It is in urging students to invest their free time in the service of the common good with an average of (2.68) and a relative weight of (79). Empowerment of the community to combat illiteracy and adult education: This contributes to the building of modern curricula for literacy and adult education with an average of (2.25) and a relative weight of (66).
The area of partnership with educational research centers at the national and international level: This is in the fourth item: exchange of educational versions with an average of (2.71) and relative weight of (80).

The Effectiveness of the Training Programs in the Development Project in Improving the Performance of the School Leaders in Makkah Al-Mukarramah:

Abstract: The study aimed at determining the effectiveness of the training programs in the development project in improving the performance of the school leaders in Makkah Al- Mukarramah by measuring the extent to which the school leader exercises leadership skills in development and undeveloped schools. The study also aimed to reveal the significance of the statistical differences attributed to the job title and participation in the practitioner. The study followed the descriptive method of the comparative causal type. A questionnaire was applied to reveal the leader's practice of leadership skills of the school leaders in the developed secondary schools, the undeveloped schools, and the school board or the development team by selecting a random sample of (30) school leaders and (120) members of the school council from three cities (Jeddah - Taif - Makkah) with five developed and five undeveloped schools in each city. The study found several that the degree of practicing leadership skills gained by the participants of the school leader / teacher training program from the school leaders in the developed schools was great, and the degree of practicing the leadership skills of the leaders who are not participating in the program in the underdeveloped schools was medium. The results also show that there were statistically significant differences between the responses of the study sample from the participants in the program and those who did not participate in the degrees of practicing leadership skills in favor of the participants. Also, there were no statistically significant differences between the responses of the study sample from the members of the school boards and teams and the responses of the leaders in both developed and undeveloped schools.

Leisure Patterns of Northern Border University (NBU) Female Students and their Attitudes Towards Physical Activity

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to identify the leisure time hours, leisure participation patterns, and the psychological attitudes towards sport participation for female students at Science and Arts college, Northern Border University ((NBU)- Turaif campus. The result showed that the majority of female students had from 4-5 leisure hours in week days, while leisure hours increased up to 6-7 hours in the weekend days. The result also indicated that the highest leisure participations were passive leisure activities, the social activities, the active leisure, and the work-related activities, respectively. Female students held high positive attitudes towards sport participation in general. Motivations were to improve health and fitness, as social experience, as catharsis, as an aesthetic experience, as ascetic experience, and as to experience vertigo, respectively. No significant differences emerged in attitudes toward sport activities between science and arts students, except on health and fitness dimension in favor of science students. In the present study, no significant differences between science and arts students were found in the leisure time hours, and leisure activities patterns except on work related activities in favor of science students. The researcher ended his study with numerous suggestions and recommendations.

Characteristics of the Fiancé and the Fiancée in Light of the Sources of Islamic Education and its Educational Implications on the Building of the Family

Abstract: The study aimed to identify the characteristics the fiancé and the fiancée mentioned in the Quran and the correct Sunnah and its educational implications on the building of the family. The researcher used the deductive approach in answering the second question, and the analytical descriptive approach in answering the third question. The most prominent results were as follows: The characteristics of the fiancé and the fiancée in the Qur'aan and Sunnah include the characteristics of faith, morality, social, economic, health and physical. Moreover, that taking into
consideration those qualities when choosing a life partner has a positive impact on the building of the family. Also, Islam has its unique method of choosing a life partner according to specific criteria, such as religion and good manners and behaviors, which ensures the success and continuity of the marital relationship and the realization of the purposes of marriage through applying that approach. This study recommended many recommendations and suggested other studies.

The Spiritual Intelligence and its Relationship to Achievement Motivation Among Majmaah University Students

Abstract: The purpose of the study is to investigate the level of spiritual intelligence and its relationship to achievement motivation among Majmaah University students.
The sample of the study consisted of (500) male and female undergraduate students in the first semester of the academic year 2014/2015. To achieve the goals of the study, King's scale (2008) for spiritual intelligence was used as well as Al'esa's scale (2015) for achievement motivation. The findings of the study showed that the level spiritual of intelligence among Majmaah university students was in a high level, and there were no significant statistical differences at the level of (α =0.05) to the effect of gender on the level spiritual intelligence or any of its domains. Meanwhile, there were significant statistical differences on the level of spiritual intelligence and its domains attributed to major in favor of scientific majors. Moreover, there was a positive significant statistical relationship between spiritual intelligence and achievement motivation.
