Based on theories from previous studies, this study proposes a model of eight factors affecting employee motivation in small and medium-sized enterprises in Don Duong district, Lam Dong province. The outcome discovers only six determinants, which are Relationships with peers; Promotion opportunities; Recognition; Job characteristics;
Wage policy; Leadership. From this finding, some implications are provided to strengthen employee motivation.
