RISK FACTORS OF PREMATURE MORTALITY
This research was to find somes risk factors of mortality of 667 hospitalized premature in the Neonatology Department of The National Hospital of Pediatrics from 1/3/2008 to 7/31/2008. Re- sults showed that the premature group with gestational age 25-28 weeks had the highest mor- tality (75.6%). Infants weight <1500 g had 4.8 times death risk higher than premature > 2500 g (p < 0.001). 100% premature had a severe malformation at birth were died Malformation at birth group was 5 times death risk to compare with group without birth malformation Prema- ture with BE < - 5 had 3 times mortality risk higher than premature with BE >-5 (p < 0.001).
