(control lot), and 15 pieces of lot 2 were redivided into 3 groups. Three groups were exposed to lOkGy, 15kGy, 25 kGy of gamma radiation, respectively. Afterward, to compare the alter of bone matrix among lots, groups. Results and conclusion: No differentce was found between the two lots in microscope, no the changed structure of bone matrix. In electron microscope, the collagen fiber bundles in bone matrix irradiated with dose 25kGy were reduced tension and broken some oblique fibers.

Objectives: to study the weight mean of newborns, placenta and the mean length of umbilical cord at term, Methods: a prospective study in 600 deliveries at term at National hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2007. Results: the weight mean of newborns is 3250 grs (normal range: 2800 grs to 3700
grs). Male newborns are heavier than female about 150 grs. The mean of placental weight is 515 grs (min:
210 grs and max: 870 grs). The length of umbilical cord is 59 cm (min: 44 cm and max: 74 cm).
Conclusion: At term, the weight mean of newborns is 3250grs, the placenta is 515 grs and umbilical cord is 59 cm of length.
