Generating work motivation of administrative staffs is of great significance to the performance of universities. In the case study of Thang Long University, the author points out six determinants of administrative staffs' work motivation in descending order of impact as follows: Impact of the university; Working environment; Social relationships; Performance capacity; Job characteristics; Career decision. On that basis, the paper proposes some implications for the administrators to enhance the work motivation ofthe administrative staffs, contributing to the improvement of university management in the future.
