Salmonella typhimurium is one of (he two mam S. enlentica serovars causing food poisoning for humaa Salmonella typhin.

normally detected by ihe tiaditioiiai culture methoiis or the techniques based on DNA and immunology assays. This paper reports the enrictunent of £ l>pAirntfriEirn tiy using inagneticiianoparticlesfimctionalizedwilh amino groups. Magnetic iiatioparticIesFe}04 have been made by coprecipitation mettiod with tlie size of about 10mn-20imLTheaimnogroups1iavebeeacoatedon the surface bf the magneHc nanoparticies by using 3-aininopropyl-tiiethoxy-siIance. The amino-nanoparticies were conjugated with the IgY antibodies against S. typhimurium produced in chicken eggs. This complex IgY- Fe304 helps the nanoparticies magnetic to bind selectively antigen onto membranes of the S. typhimurium. Nanoparticies conjugated with IgY can attach to S. typhimurium. The ratio of S.

typhimurium collected by an external magnet reached 87%.
