ABSTRACT

This study investigates the impact of capital structure on the performance of 2.888 Vietnamese State-owned corporations. The OIS regression model indicates that capital structure and firm performance, proxied by ROA and ROE ratio, has an inverted U-shape relationship. In addition, die result also shows the interactive effect of state ownership on the association between capital structure and firm performance, there in, die effect of the debt over asset ratio (capital structure) on business performance is weaker in die case of State- controlled corporations
