Abstract: Learner autonomy plays a significant role in learning process and is the foundation of developing learners' professional capacity and learning responsibility. However, not all learners are able to learn by themselves as learner autonomy requires learning and constant practice in a specific educational environment. Therefore, teachers play an important part in training students and creating learning conditions to promote learner autonomy in the teaching and learning process. This paper presented three activities in English teaching to enhance learner autonomy: portfolio, groupwork, and project-based learning. Keywords: Learner autonomy; project; portfolio; group-work.
