KESIMPULAN DAN SARAN Kesimpulan

Kesimpulan

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat diambil kesimpulan sebagai berikut :

1. Dijumpai adanya hubungan yang bermakna antara antibodi anti

Epsteinbarr virus (EBNA-1) dengan karsinoma nasofaring pada

pasien etnis Batak.

2. Gambaran histopatologi yang diteliti pada penelitian ini yang

terbanyak adalah karsinoma nasofaring yang undifferensiasi

(57,7%).

3. Karsinoma nasofaring pada penelitian ini terbanyak pada usia

30-49 tahun.

4. Tidak dijumpai adanya hubungan yang bermakna keberadaan

1. Meskipun sudah signifikan bahwa infeksi virus epstein-barr sebagai

penyebab karsinoma nasofaring tetapi perlu dilakukan pemeriksaan

lagi untuk mengetahui penyebab pasti bahwa infeksi virus epstein-barr

mengakibatkan karsinoma nasofaring dengan melakukan pemeriksaan

PCR atau dengan binatang percobaan.

2. Semua pasien yang diduga karsinoma nasofaring dilakukan

pemeriksaan EBNA-1, karena dapat membantu menguatkan diagnosa

karsinoma nasofaring, di mana ini berguna untuk mengetahui bahwa

karsinoma tersebut disebabkan oleh virus epsteinbarr atau karena
