Eksplorasi
Dalam kegiatan eksplorasi, guru:
Memberikan penjelasan tentang penggunaan unsur bahasa pada recount teks.
Menggunakan beragam pendekatan pembelajaran, media pembelajaran, dan sumber belajar lain;
Memfasilitasi terjadinya interaksi antarpeserta didik serta antara peserta didik dengan guru, lingkungan, dan sumber belajar lainnya;
Melibatkan peserta didik secara aktif dalam setiap kegiatan pembelajaran;
dan
Membagi peserta didik ke dalam beberapa kelompok.
Elaborasi
Dalam kegiatan elaborasi, guru:
Meminta peserta didikuntuk membuat sebuah recount text tentang Life Experincedengan cerita dan judul yang berbeda.
Meminta peserta didik untuk mengidentifikasi tentang generic structure, language feature, dan fungsi sosial tentang teks recount yang sudah dibuat.
Meminta peserta didik untuk menginvestigasi salah satu kejadian pada kelompok lain.
Meminta peserta didik untuk mempresentasikan hasil investigasinya di depan kelas.
Konfirmasi
Dalam kegiatan konfirmasi, guru:
Memberikan umpan balik positif dan penguatan dalam bentuk lisan dan tulisanterhadap keberhasilan peserta didik.

Bersama dengan peserta didik lainnya memberikan umpan balik terhadap kelompok yang sudah mempresentasikan hasil investigasinya.
Memberikan konfirmasi terhadap hasil eksplorasi dan elaborasi peserta didik melalui berbagai sumber.
Memfasilitasi peserta didik untuk memperoleh pengalaman dalam mencapai kompetensi dasar:

Traffic Accident (Group 1)
Last week, when we were going home from school we saw an accident. There was a driver who driving along a train road at 50 kilometres an hour when another car came out of a side road and hit him. There was a lot of damage of the cars and the drivers were hurt. As we knew one of the driver name was Dimas. One of the Dimas’
arms was broken.
Then, there was a man and a woman came to the accident. They tried to help Dimas and the other driver from the damage cars. They thought perhaps the petrol in these cars will burn the two men.
The man, the woman, and us helped Dimas and the other man to cure the pain of that accident. Then, we tried to call ambulance so that it can take the two men to the hospital. After that, there was a truck cam and pulled the two cars off the road.

Watching Movie (Group 2)
We went to watch a film last night. We watched it in Wulan’s house using her laptop. It was an Indonesian movie called Laskar Pelangi. It taught us about a teacher that made a sacrifice and gave her life to the children in Indonesia so that they could have a great future for their life. From this movie, we could know there were still children who had spirit and were not lazy to study even though there were no good facilities. They only used facilities whatever there is.
It was an interesting movie because could teach us about the important of study. We like that movie. And we planned to see another movie that could give us a new moral value of our life.
98 Our Bad Day
(Group 3)
Last week, we went to Jatim Park with our teacher and our friend of class VIII. In Jatim Park, we had a bad experience. On that day, we were so interesting to see the beautiful view in Jatim Park.
After arriving there, our teacher, our friends and us looked so many
interesting shows. We were very happy because it was the first time we went to Jatim Park. Then, not only looked some shows, but also we played some games.
After walking around, we rested in a place. We forgot its name. We knew it was a place where a lot of people sitting around eating their foods. At that time, our teachers and our friend still rested and eating their foods and we decided to walk around again because we were not still satisfied to play there. Then, we saw a circus of the smart dolphins. We really enjoyed it at that time and after the circus was done, we realized that we lost and missing. We were trying to go back in a resting place to find our friends, but they were not there. We were afraid and confused. That was the first time we go to recreation and lost.
99 Meeting a Star
(Group 4)
On Saturday evening at 19.00, we went to Jember Town Square. We planned to spend our Saturday night over there.
Then, before we went to the Town Square, we went to the mosque first.
Suddenly, there was a girl who tried to make a conversation with us. She was very friendly and her face looked so familiar. Actually, we realized that she was Nisa Sabyan, but we acted usual.
She told us that she have shows in one of Jember Department store. Then, she asked us to see her in that show. We were really happy because she invited us directly to her show and saw her performance. We were so surprised and we directly went to Nisa Sabyan’s show and spent our Saturday Night there.

Embarrassing Day Ever (Group 5)
We got free camping trip yesterday. It was free because we got it from Sella’s sister. The place was far away from the city.
We were not in a good condition enough at that time. But we were very excited so hard to join the camping trip, so we forced ourselves to join. In the night when we slept in the tent, one of us got fever and flu really hard. We could not sleep because she was sneezing so many times.
We regret to join the camp with a bad condition. It was uncomfortable for us and others.
