Pemenuhan terhadap aspek gizi dan kesehatan reproduski dipengaruhi oleh pemahaman dan kesadaran individu dan masyarakat pada seluruh kelompok usia, baik pada perempuan maupun laki-laki. Intervensi edukasi gizi dan kesehatan reproduksi pada ibu hamil dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil secara signifikan sehingga diharapkan mampu mencegah terjadinya berbagai masalah gizi pada peridoe kehidupan selanjutnya baik pada kesehatan ibu maupun anak seperti stunting pada balita sebagai bentuk malnutrisi yang memiliki prevalensi tinggi di berbagai negara termasuk di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh ahli gizi mengenai Gizi dan Keshatan Reprduksi menjadi penting untuk dimiliki sebagai modal dalam memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat mengenai peranan gizi dalam kesehatan reproduksi untuk membantu meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat.
