Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsekuensi yang diterima oleh remaja paling besar adalah terkait dengan keadaan mental. Hal ini mungkin dapat digunakan sebagai saran untuk penanganan perkembangan kesehatan mental para remaja. Selain untuk melindungi remaja dari konsekuensi negatif internet juga dapat untuk langkah pencegahan bagi remaja untuk melakukan perilaku seksual dini.
