1. It is suggested for teacher or lecturer to change their teaching strategies. In this case, the students should begine inappropriate improve their skills in listening by using video which are available on YouTube. The teachers should be creating the enjoyable situation in teaching learning process. It can be done by use the suitable technique and method in teaching learning process unless the students will get bored then fail in the subject. That is why the teachers should apply the YouTube video in teaching listening. By using YouTube video, the student will be attracted to join listening class.

Automatically the teaching and learning process can run well and the objectives can be achieved.

2. For the students, the students must be active in teaching learning process.

The achievement of teaching learning process is not only got from the school but also they must be active studying outside the school.

Field Note Treatment process

First Meeting

April 18th 2019, the class began at 8:10 after do flag ceremony every Monday.

The researcher and the teacher came to the class. The teacher greeted the students.

Then, the teacher started by informing to the students that they will learn listening through video short story, some of them looked enthusiast. While researcher prepared the media (LCD), the teacher asked the students whether they were familiar with short story they said they were familiar with it. Then, she asked whether they could give some examples of it. When the LCD projector was ready, the teacher played the video and the researcher sat down at the back of the class to record and observed process of the treatment. After the teacher played the video about bawang puutih and bawang merah. She asked, “is it clear?”. They said no. then, she played the video once more but before that the teacher ask them to note as many as 15 unfamiliar vocabulary with their meanings. After the teacher played the video for the second time, the teacher played the video again based on the students request. After that the teacher asked the questions that related to the story one by one. Some of them still confused to answer because it is the first time they learn about listening. At 09:00 am the bell rang, the researcher asked the student to submit their works and closed the class

Second meeting

The class began at 8:20 but the teacher and the researcher went into the class ten minutes later. The students were noisy at the time, because it is the last class for that day, they were bored. . Some of them helped the researcher to set up the media (LCD).

When the LCD had been set up, the teacher continued, “hari ini kita kan melanjutkan materi, just like last day, we will learnl istening in short story on YouTube video.

Before we move on, what have we learnt on Monday?” The students answered randomly. The researcher then began to guide them. A student said that they learnt about listening by Bawang putih and bawang merah;s video . Then the teacher asked about the vocabularies that they learnt on monday. The teacher then played a video the video was Tangkuban perahu. Most of the students paid attention, but some of them were busy with themselves. The video was played once. After that, the researcher asked the students to identify the content of the video. The bell rang at 9:00 am. The students went out of the class to take a break. At 9:20 the class started again, and the teacher continued the class. 5 minutes after the bell rang, The teacher distributed a worksheet

for each student. “oke, kita lihat video lagi ya”. He played a video of Tangkuban Perahu again. The students paid attention. They were silent during the video playing. The teacher and the students discussed the questions based on the video together. He promised to the students who answered the question correctly would be given a reward.

The rewards were chocolate snacks from the researcher. The students were very active during the discussion. Some students even wanted to answer it first despite teacher had not been pointing out any students. As he promised, some students got the snacks for answering the questions. The teacher then distributed another worksheet. She said to the students that the task will not affect their scores for their real class “tulis nama sama nomor absennya dulu”, he said “just answer the questions from the possible answers”.

The bell rang at 10:00 am but the task was not finished. It took 10 minutes extra to finish it. The task was done. The researcher asked them to submit their work. He closed the class and left the class with the collaborator.

Third meeting

At 8:20 am the researcher, the collaborator and the teacher came to the class.

While the researcher prepared the media (LCD). When the LCD projector was ready, the researcher sat down at the back of the class. Then, the teacher began the class but before that the teacher grouped the students into 5 group that consist of 3 members in each group. The teacher started a video on the screen, the video was the ant and the grasshopper. When the video was about to start, some students tried to guess what video was it. The researcher then played the video one. The students, even though some of them were noisy, paid attention to the video. The researcher played the video once more The teacher asked for each group to retelling the story story that they heard by their own words. And in the third, she played the video in parts. The teacher also asked to each group to wrote the unfamiliar words from the story and the teacher explained to them and taught to them how to pronounce the words that they have listened. At 9:00 the bell rang. Before the teacher closed the class, she asked the students about the today’s materials. She said “jadi kita tadi belajar tentang apa?” then the students answered it together. The teacher also imformed to the students that the researcher will take post-test from the students after exercise class. After the teacher he closed the class and went out.
