BAB V. KESIMPULAN, IMPLIKASI DAN REKOMENDASI

C. Rekomendasi

Beberapa hal yang dapat direkomendasikan dari hasil penelitian antara lain: 1. Program IPA Terintegrasi yang telah dikembangkan melalui research

and development ini merupakan mata kuliah yang mampu membekali mahasiswa S1 pendidikan IPA yang memiliki kewenangan menjadi calon guru IPA SMP. Dengan demikian bagi LPTK yang membuka program studi S1 pendidikan IPA perlu menerapkan mata kuliah IPA terintegrasi agar lulusannya memiliki kompetensi sesuai yang direkomendasikan

Standards for Science Teacher Preparation (NSTA, 2003) dan memenuhi Permendiknas, No. 16 Tahun 2007, yaitu memiliki kompetensi interdisipliner bidang IPA.

2. Sub-program-sub-program dan tema-tema dapat dimodifikasi oleh perguruan tinggi untuk disesuaikan dengan visi dan misi kurikulum yang dikembangkan, kekhasan daerah, kondisi kampus dan sarana-prasarana

serta kemampuan mahasiswa, namum tetap mengacu pada standar materi dan pedagogi tingkat SMP/MTs sebagai rujukan.

3. Pelaksanaan perkuliahan IPA Terintegrasi dan Pembelajarannya dapat dilaksanakan oleh berbagai LPTK yang membuka Program Studi S1 Pendidikan IPA pada semester dimana para mahasiswa sudah menempuh mata kuliah prasyarat baik dari aspek materi maupun pedagogi.

4. Mata kuliah IPA Terintegrasi dapat dijadikan pendukung kebijakan pemerintah, khususnya Kementrian Pendidikan Nasional Direktorat Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah tentang pelaksanaan Bimbingan Teknis IPA Terpadu bagi para guru, sehingga para mahasiswa sudah memiliki pemahaman pada saat nanti harus praktik di lapangan.

5. Penelitian lanjutan masih sangat diperlukan untuk menguji efektifitas program IPA Terintegrasi, yaitu dengan melanjutkan penelitian pengembangan ke tahap uji pelaksanaan lapangan, penyempurnaan produk akhir dan Implementasi.
