C. SARAN
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti memberikan saran sebagai berikut:
1. Penelitian berikutnya hendaknya menentukan terlebih dahulu baseline volume subjek.
2. Peneliti berikutnya hendaknya memakai cara lain yang lebih objektif untuk melihat kemunculan emosi, seperti detak jantung, tekanan darah, dan ekspresi wajah.
3. Peneliti berikutnya hendaknya menggunakan alat ukur volume yang lebih peka dari 1/10 dB.

Prosedur Penelitian
1. Subjek diminta masuk ke dalam ruang eksperimen. 2. Subjek mengisiinform concent.
3. Subjek diminta mengambil undian untuk menentukan urutan perlakuan yang akan didapat.
4. Subjek diminta duduk di tempat yang telah disediakan. 5. Eksperimenter menjelaskan prosedur eksperimen.
(Terima kasih atas kehadiran dan kesediaan saudara menjadi subjek penelitian pada hari ini. Saat ini, anda diminta untuk mendengarkan dua buah lagu melalui headphone yang telah tersedia. Masing-masing lagu akan diperdengarkan dua kali. Kedua lagu tersebut mencerminkan emosi yang berbeda, yakni emosi gembira dan emosi sedih. Tugas anda adalah menentukan volume yang sesuai untuk mendengarkan tiap lagu agar emosi dapat muncul (emosi gembira atau sedih, tergantung lagu yang diputar). Setelah mendapatkan volume yang sesuai, dengarkanlah lagu itu kira-kira 20 detik lagi agar anda merasa yakin. Setelah merasa yakin, segeralah angkat tangan agar saya menghampiri anda dan mencatat volume yang anda pilih. Apakah ada pertanyaan?)
6. Jika subjek merasa jelas, maka eksperimen dimulai.
(Lagu pertama merupakan lagu yang mencerminkan emosi bahagia/sedih. Carilah volume yang paling dapat memunculkan emosi bahagia/sedih. Setelah merasa yakin, segeralah angkat tangan anda.) 7. Subjek mendengarkan musik yang mencerminkan salah satu emosi.

8. Subjek mengangkat tangan tangan ketika mengalami emosi paling bahagia/sedih (self report). Lalu eksperimenter mencatat volume yang dipilih subjek.
9. Selanjutnya, subjek kembali diperdengarkan musik dan diberikan prosedur yang sama seperti penyajian pertama.
10. Setelah subjek mendapatkan empat perlakuan, maka eksperimenter memberikan penjelasan mengenai eksperimen yang telah dilakukan. (Terima kasih atas kesediannya mengikuti eksperimen. Eksperimen tadi ingin melihat bagaimana perbedaan volume mendengarkan musik untuk membangkitkan emosi bahagia dan emosi sedih.)
