6.2 Saran
Saran yang dapat dipertimbangkan dan bermanfaat dalam upaya untuk dapat dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut :
1) Bagi perawat
Tenaga perawat dapat menjadikan rendaman okra sebagai terapi komplementer dalam penatalaksanaan diabetes mellitus
2) Bagi pemegang program diabetes mellitus di Puskesmas
Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi alternatif terapi tambahan disamping obat-obatan dalam penatalaksanaan diabetes mellitus sehingga risiko penyakit yang dapat timbul karena efek samping obat dapat diminimalisir.
3) Bagi peneliti selanjutnya
a. Pada peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan mengukur kadar glukosa setiap hari untuk mengetahui fluktuasi kadar glukosa darah.
b. Peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengontrol variabel perancu dalam penelitian.
c. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan mengukur kadar glukosa darah menggunakan darah vena yang dites di laboratorium.
