BAB V SIMPULAN DAN SARAN

B. Saran

Pembahasan dalam kesimpulan merekomendasikan beberapa hal yang relevan sebagai berikut.

1. Potensi pembelajaran MEAs perlu diperluas penerapannya sebagai alternatif bentuk pembelajaran dalam mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik, komunikasi matematik dan disposisi matematik pada berbagai level pendidikan dan siswa dengan beragam kemampuan matematik.

2. Pengembangan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik, komunikasi matematik, dan disposisi matematik, jika dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan lain, hendaknya dikembangkan secara bersamaan.

3. Penerapan pembelajaran MEAs perlu diperluas penerapannya dalam mengembangkan kemampuan matematik lainnya dan pada berbagai level pendidikan.

4. Rancangan pembelajaran MEAs perlu memperhatikan pengetahuan awal matematik siswa dan level sekolah. Untuk siswa lemah perlu dilengkapi bahan ajar yang terstruktur sehingga membimbing siswa secara bertahap membangun pengetahuan dan kemampuan matematiknya. Untuk siswa berkemampuan tinggi perlu dilengkapi bahan ajar yang memperkuat dan memperkaya pengetahuan dan kemampuan matematik siswa tanpa membuatnya terhambat mengeksplorasi kemampuannya secara maksimal oleh bahan ajar yang terlalu terstruktur.

5. Secara umum, hasil belajar siswa pada penelitian ini belum pada taraf memuaskan. Untuk memperoleh kemanfaatan penerapan pembelajaran MEAs yang lebih tereksplorasi untuk mengembangkan kemampuan matematik perlu

200 kajian lebih lanjut dengan rancangan dan pelaksanaan pada pokok bahasan, inovasi bahan ajar dan level lain.

6. Siswa perlu diberi latihan yang lebih memadai dalam membuat pemodelan dan memecahkan masalah pythagoras yang tidak rutin dan membuat soal cerita dari SPLDV yang diberikan serta menyelesaikannya.
