CHAPTER IV FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION
A. Findings
1. Findings before Implementing the Classrom Action Research Pre observation was conducted to observe the process of teaching learning in speaking activity before implementing the action. The researcher conducted pre observation in the XI IPA 1. Based on the pre observation result, the XI IPA 1 class showed they are more passive than another class. Most students didn‟t participate in class conversation, discussion and shy in giving oral presentation. They were not courage to involve in the speaking learning process. In the other words, the students have the problems with their confidence. Therefore, they need a technique to improve their speaking skill and make the English speaking lesson more exciting. The pretest had done before the Classroom Action Research. The researcher conducted it on October 19th, 2020. It started at 07.30 A.M. the pretest was in form. Then, the scores we‟ve taken in five criteria which score of pronunciation, and vocabulary. To be more detail, the writer explained in the following table :

After calculating students‟ score in the form of average, then the researcher calculates it in the form of percentage, it is done to know the total students who passed the KKM by dividing the number of students
who passed the test with the total students who takes the test itself, and then multiplied by 100 % in percentage as follows :
2. Observation Result
The researcher accomplished and observation toward taeaching and learning process including the activities that conducted by students and the teacher in the classroom. It was conducted at second class of SMA Negeri 3 Bantaeng. From the observation, it remained that in teaching speaking at second class, the teacher used dialogue based learning teachnique, in which he gave the students dialogue and asked students to read the dialogue and the perform in the front of the class in pair. In this case, students only read a dialogue, give it meaning and then perform with their partner. They have never told the usage of expression they are practicing. Furthermore, students have never been given chances to expos their ability to speak and to develop a more communicative conversation using their own way. On the other hand, the teacher only emphasizes on the importance of students writing ability than speaking ability the use of strategy like this would be an ongoing problem for students in learning and understanding oral English usage. Moreover, students whose vocabulary were limited which unable them to say anything to communicate. It brings about silent toward students and is lacking in speaking ability primarily in using expression like in real communication. Related to the observation result in cycle I and II showed that the students were braver and more confident in speaking. It can be seen from their participation in the class, their participation in the conversation, and their performance.

75 : Criterion Minimum of Completeness (KKM) The average of students‟ post test 1 score is :
∑Post test = 1193

=79.5
From the calculation of students‟ post test 1 score, it can be inferred that there are some improvement toward students‟ score after implementing the blindfold technique in teaching English. The mean of pre test is 77.8 while the mean of post test 1 is 79.5. it means there are 1.7 improvement toward students‟ speaking score. This improvement is also can be calculated in percentage by calculating students‟ pre test score with post test 1 by using this formula below
Meanwhile the percentage calculation which shows the class percentage of students‟ score who pass the KKM are :
It means that there are about 20 % (80-60) of students‟ score passed the KKM after learning English by using Blindfold technique. On the other hand, there are 12 students finally passed the KKM and the other 3 students are still in lower score.

75 : Criterion Minimum of Completeness (KKM) The average of students‟ post test II score is :
∑Post test = 1228

=81.8
From this data, the researcher calculates students post test 1 score with students‟ post test II by using formula below :
After finding the improvement of students‟ score, then the writer tried to find the class percentage of the whole students who able to pass the KKM as follows :
It means that about 2.3 % % (81.8-79.5) students‟ score average are increased. From those interpretations, the researcher obtained that there are 13% (93.33-80) of students score had improve within the second cycle, 14 of 15 students are passed the KKM while 1 student are still below the KKM. Or 14 students are better of the classroom action research toward students of second class of SMA Negeri 3 Bantaeng.

5. The interpretation of the Test Result
The interpretation of the data results among the pretest, post test I and post test II as following :
In the pre test, the mean score of students on speaking test before carrying out CAR is 77.8. It students‟ speaking score before they use blindfold technique. Meanwhile, the class percentage which pass the KKM is 60 %. It means there are only 9 students who are passed the KKM and there are 6 students are out of the target.
Next, the mean score in the post test cycle I is 79.5. It means that there are some students‟ score improvement from the previous test that is 1.7% (79.5-77.8.). Meanwhile, the class percentage which pass the KKM in pos test I is 80. It shows there are 12 students who pass the KKM and there are 3 students whose got score still under KKM. However, it is still needed more improvement because it could not achieve the target of success CAR. That is the researcher continue to the second cycle.
Furthermore, the mean score in the post test II is in 81.8. It shows the students‟ improvement score 4 (81.8-.77.8). Meanwhile, the class percentage which pass the KKM is 93.33%. It means there are 14 students whose got score pass the KKM and there are 1 student are under the target of KKM. The post test of cycle II has fulfilled the target of CAR success, that is above 75% students could pass the KKM. It can be said that CAR is success and the cycle of CAR is not continued.
