2.6.3 Update Betwin
Untuk meng-update software Betwin ke versi yang terbaru, dapat men-downloadnya dari web site dibawah ini. Situs download
BeTwin demo adalah
http://www.thincomputhinginc.com/betwin/download. Setelah file ini disimpan pada hardisk, cari file tersebut dan klik ganda nama filenya. File tersebut akan diekstrak ke dalam folder BeTwin pada drive tempat
file BeTwin hasil download ini disimpan. Lakukan proses uninstall terhadap software BeTwin yang sudah ada, agar dapat menginstall software BeTwin yang baru.
Ikuti instruksi yang ada pada layer bergantung pada type instalasi Windows apa yang sudah dilakukan saat menginstal Windows. Restart komputer sesudah proses instalasi software beTwin berhasil dilakukan sampai selesai. Setelah teregistrasi, tidak diperlukan lagi registrasi ulang.
2.7 Core Temp
“Core Temp is a compact, no fuss, small footprint program to monitor CPU temperature” . [9]
Core Temp merupakan sebuah software yang mampu mendeteksi suhu pada processor dimana setiap processor kita berikan pekerjaan untuk mengolah data kemudian software ini akan menampilkan semua informasi suhu yang terjadi pada CPU.

Intel dan AMD baru-baru ini menerbitkan informasi umum yang lebih terperinci tentang" DTS" (Digital Thermal Sensor), dimana telah menyediakan ketelitian jauh lebih tinggi dan banyak. [10] Core Temp ini telah mampu support pada semua jenis Intel Core Duo maupun Core 2 based processors, Core Temp ini juga dapat di pakai pada keseluruhan jenis processor AMD Athlon64. Adapun beberapa jenis processor yang support dengan Core Temp diantaranya ayaitu dapat kita lihat table dibawah ini :

2.7.1 Perkembangan Core Temp
Perkembangan awal Core Temp dimulai dari version 0.9.0.32 yaitu pada tanggal 24 April 2006. Core Temp saat itu masih bersifat beta dimana masih banyak yang harus mengalami perubahan dan perkembangan untuk masalah pendeteksian suhu. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi dan kerja sama dengan para produsen seperti intel dan AMD, kini Core Temp telah mampu memberikan informasi yang lebih akurat tentang keadaan suhu processor disaat kita memberikan pekerjaan pada processor. Berikut adalah table perkembangan Core Temp dari versi beta hingga sekarang.

Pada penelitian kali ini penulis menggunakan Core Temp versi 0.99.5.27-32bit. Penulis menggunakan versi 0.99.5.27 dikarenakan versi ini adalah versi terbaru yang telah diperbaharui dari versi-versi sebelumnya.

2.7.2 Keunggulan Core Temp
Ada beberapa keunggulan dari software core temp ini diantaranya yaitu :
1. Mampu berjalan pada Windows 2000, Xp, 2003, Vista dan OS Windows7.
2. Dapat berjalan pada semua motherboard.
3. Membaca informasi suhu dari semua Intel Core processors.
4. Tidak perlu di install maupun registrasi, software ini bersifat portable dan free.
5. Program didasarkan pada data suhu prosesor, kemudian
mengumpulkan dan disimpan data tersebut dalam bentuk datasheet (excel).
6. Menyimpan jejak minim dan suhu maksimum dengan penuh seksama tiap masa tenggang (delay) 10 detik .
7. Cepat dan sangat teliti serta dapat diulang tiap restart dengan database yang baru.
