Academic Committee

The areas of image processing and computer vision have focused on data analysis in digital images, development of efficient algorithms, image enhancement for information recovery, robotic vision, and computer recognition of three-dimensional objects and image interpretation.

Centre in Statistical Science and Industrial Mathematics

The Center has a strong postgraduate teaching program with 15 PhD students and three Research Masters students enrolled in 1993. The Centre's staff are involved in the provision of statistical teaching to postgraduate students at QUT and external organisations.

Information Security Research Centre

The role of the center is to develop rehabilitation and management strategies and new products for the construction profession, government and industry. Since 1989, staff involved in the center have produced 175 journal and conference proceedings articles and 136 other publications.

Services are free and available to students (both full-time and part-time) and staff on all campuses, as well as to others who intend to enroll at QUT in the future. The Guild can help students find suitable accommodation, including hostels, flats, private management and share houses. The Guild conducts surveys among students every year to find out their opinions about the courses, teachers and the level of education received. The Guild is a member of the National Union of Students (NUS) and participates in a range of state and national forums on education issues.

The guild sells a range of regalia for the legal professions, including wigs and wig cases, gowns, jabots and bags. Requests submitted without written support from the unit coordinator and proof of payment of the late fee will be returned to the student unprocessed. Students readmitted after a period of exclusion will be placed on probation for the remainder of the academic year. Students who do not submit a valid HECS Payment Option Form by the first day of the semester of registration for their course will have their registration canceled on the basis that they have not met the registration requirements. Assessment Provisions for Students with Disabilities

Instructors or course coordinators must notify the Student Administration Department of any special examination requirements, including the level of expertise permitted for any assistant (amanuensis, interpreter, assistant) that may be requested so that the student is neither advantaged nor disadvantaged. disadvantaged compared to other students.
