34;Ambulance''-Any ambulance, fire or police vehicle or any other vehicle for which the commissioner has approved the use of a siren;. 34; Sign for the end of the cycle path" - an official traffic sign that indicates the end of the cycle path or path; lane of the carriageway by turning towards the approaching driver; 34; Sign for the end of a separate footpath" - an official traffic sign for marking the end of a separate footpath;.
The District Superintendent or Superintendent may exempt any person or vehicle from any provision of these Regulations when in his opinion such exemption is justified
PART 3
If a light or sign is in, on or near a road or is placed on a building in any place, and the District Superintendent or Superintendent, or the Commissioner of Main Roads, as the case may be, is satisfied that , that the danger to traffic may result from such light or sign, the District Superintendent or Superintendent or Highway Commissioner, as the case may be, may give notice in writing to the owner of such light or sign or to the owner of the premises or place of that as such light or sign is placed requiring him to either remove the light or sign or alter it to the satisfaction of the District Superintendent or Superintendent or Highway Commissioner, as the case may be, within such time as may be specified in such notice. If such owner within the time specified in such notice does not either- (a) Remove such light or sign; or. (b) Alter any such light or sign so that, in the opinion of the District Superintendent or Superintendent or Highway Commissioner, as the case may be, no danger to traffic will arise therefrom.
PART 4
As amended by regulations published Gazette 10 July 1965, p at the stop line or control traffic light signal when the amber color first appears that he cannot safely stop his vehicle before crossing the stop line or control traffic signal;. ii) a pedestrian in front of the traffic control traffic light signal must not enter the carriageway;. iii) if a traffic control traffic light signal is erected at or near an intersection, every person at such intersection shall clear it with all reasonable speed; i) a single red circle or red and amber circles together shall be a direction that a driver directed by a traffic control traffic light signal shall not proceed beyond the stop line associated with the traffic control traffic light signal traffic control or in the absence of a stop line, traffic control the light signal itself;. the words "DON'T WALK" in red or a symbolic walking pedestrian in red or, in the absence of the word "WALK" in green or green, a red circle alone or red and amber circles together will be a direction that a pedestrian guided by the signal of the traffic control semaphore should not enter the carriageway;. i) a green arrow alone or in connection with any other display is a direction that a driver facing the traffic light signal can proceed in the direction indicated by the arrow;. ii) an amber arrow alone or in conjunction with any other display, except a red arrow pointing in the same direction as the amber arrow, is a direction that a driver directed by a traffic control traffic light signal does not should continue in the direction. indicated by the amber arrow, proceed beyond the stop line connected to the control traffic signal or, in the absence of a stop line, the traffic control. the light signal itself, unless the vehicle is so close to the stop line or traffic control light signal when the amber color first appears that he cannot safely stop his vehicle before crossing the stop line or control traffic light signal; iii) a single red arrow or in conjunction with an amber arrow pointing in the same direction as the red arrow shall be a direction that a driver facing the traffic control traffic light signal shall not proceed in the direction of indicated by the red arrow. proceed beyond the stop line associated with the control traffic light signal or in the absence of a stop line the traffic control traffic signal itself;. e) single intermittent amber flashes at an intersection is the direction in which the driver of the vehicle facing the traffic control traffic light signal must approach and cross the intersection with caution; f) a white "B" alone or in conjunction with any other display is a direction that a driver of an omnibus moves in view of the signal of a traffic control semaphore. Any signal illustrated in Figure 2 of this Regulation given by a police officer regulating traffic on a road at a marked intersection or crossing shall be a direction to-. i) the driver of any vehicle facing such a signal, proceed, according to the law and these regulations, through a marked crossing or crossing;. ii) any pedestrian facing such a signal to proceed, according to the law and regulations, along the carriageway of the road; and in the case of-.

Provided that this sub-regulation shall be subject to the exceptions provided in Regulation 20 (8) and Regulation 35 of this regulation and sub-regulation (2) of this regulation. PART 8
A driver of a motor vehicle on a road shall not permit a signaling device- (a) to remain in operation after the completion of the turn or divergence or stop. or sudden reduction of speed in respect of which the device was put into operation;. As amended by regulations published Gazette 21 December 1974, pp. a), shall, in addition to complying with any other requirements of these Regulations which may apply to such driver, give reasonable warning of his intention to stop for the purpose of picking up or putting down. passengers by simultaneously activating the four flashing amber lamps specified in clause 18B of Table F of Part 1 of Division 2 of the Schedule to Part 13 of these Regulations and shall keep such lamps activated during the period that the school bus is-. iii) move away from the position where it stood still.
PART 9
PART 10 SPEED RESTRICTIONS
A person may not drive a motor vehicle that is not equipped with a barrier on the road at a speed of over 50 kilometers per hour in the dark. Do not drive on the road in the dark. a) any motorcycle, the engine capacity of which does not exceed 100 milliliters at a speed of more than 40 kilometers per hour; or b) any motorcycle whose engine capacity exceeds 100 milliliters but does not exceed 200 milliliters at a speed of more than 50 kilometers per hour:.
PART II
PART 12 REGULATED PARKING
In any proceeding under or for the application of the law or these Regulations, the allegation or defense in a complaint will. a) That at any time or date mentioned in the complaint, any place is or is or is not or is not or was or was not within a traffic area, a metering area, parking area or loading zone, as the case may be, or part thereof; That a particular time is or is not within the established hours or was not or was not with respect to a measured space or spaces, or a park area space or spaces, or is or is not or was or was not within the hours and on a day during which regulated parking other than paid parking and parking in a parking area is or was in operation within a traffic area;

A person shall not operate a motor vehicle on any road. (a) where the exhaust fumes from the engine of such a vehicle are so mounted as to project the exhaust fumes directly onto the road or to alarm an animal in the immediate vicinity of such a motor vehicle; or. b) from the exhaust or any other part from which smoke is projected. PRODUCTION MAY BE REQUIRED (2) Any-. a) Chief Inspector, who shall consider that each vehicle; or.
DIVISION 2
Where this Schedule provides or indicates that any item of equipment is optional and such item is used on a vehicle, it must comply with the requirements of this Schedule. No lamp or device capable of projecting or reflecting light shall be attached to any motor vehicle unless it is a lamp or device required or permitted to be attached to such vehicle by this Schedule.

Such a lamp may form part of the rear lamp described in point 9 of this plan, or may be a separate lamp. The maximum length of the rigid part of any vehicle other than a semi-trailer shall be 11 metres, and the distance from the front of the vehicle to the line from which the rear overhang is measured shall not exceed 8.3 metres; The maximum length of a semi-trailer is 12.5 metres, excluding any overhangs over the front of the trailer which lie within an arc of 1.9 meters radius described from the pivot point;.

They shall be operated by the almost instantaneous discharge of air or vacuum by which they are prevented from operating by operation of the lever or control specified in paragraph (b) of this provision;. Means shall be provided to maintain brake application in the event of disengagement for at least fifteen minutes.

Any reflector fitted to an animal-drawn vehicle in accordance with the provisions of this Section shall comply with the relevant provisions for reflectors set out in Articles 24, 25 and 29 of Part II of Section 2 of this Annex with relating to motor vehicles. To the extent there is any inconsistency between the provisions of this sub-clause and the provisions of sub-clauses (I) and (2) of this clause and clauses and 32, the provisions of this sub-clause shall prevail.

Provided that this Regulation does not apply when a team of horses or other animals trained to be led and controlled without reins are so led and fully controlled by the driver. Provided that it shall not be an offense against this paragraph (b) to have the bit-. i) of any horse or other animal harnessed to any vehicle while such horse or other animal is feeding, if one of the wheels of such vehicle is firmly locked, and the driver or some other competent person is sufficiently near such vehicle and horse or other animal than having full control over the same, or. ii) from any saddle horse while such horse is feeding, if such horse is securely fastened to a pole or other secure object by means of a leather head-set or strong neck strap.

PART 17 TRAFFIC OFFENCES
For the purposes of subsection (!) of section 44F of the Offenses Act prescribed under Regulation 140, the reference in that subsection (1) to the Municipal Clerk or the officer appointed on his behalf shall be read as a reference to- . a) When the offense is discovered in the Brisbane Magistrates Courts District - The Secretary, Department of Transport, Brisbane; or. For the purposes of applying subsection (2) of section 44G to offenses prescribed under Regulation 140, the reference in that subsection (2) to the Municipal Clerk is to be read as a reference to-. a) When the offense is discovered in the Brisbane Magistrates Courts District - The Secretary, Department of Transport, Brisbane; or.
PART 18 MISCELLANEOUS
A person may not, without the written permission of the District Superintendent, drive or leave any vehicle on a road for the purpose of obtaining work or business from the vehicle. Any document under or for the purposes of the Act or these Regulations which requires to be signed-. a) by the Commissioner - may be signed on his behalf by the District Superintendent;.
PART 19
A certificate signed in accordance with this regulation shall be admissible in evidence and, in the absence of proof to the contrary, shall be conclusive evidence of the matters certified therein. A duplicate certificate forwarded to the analyst in accordance with this regulation is sufficient authority for him to issue a certificate for an analysis of a sample of the blood of the person named in the duplicate certificate.
PART 20 FREEWAYS
Unless it is proved that any failure to comply with any of the Regulations in terms of this Part has materially affected any breath analysis or the result of any laboratory test of a blood sample, it shall be presumed that any such failure has in no way affected the result not. of any such analysis or test. Any blood sample given to a person from whom a blood sample has been obtained for a laboratory test shall be treated by the legally qualified medical practitioner in the same manner as if the blood sample were a blood sample for a laboratory test.
PART 21
A pilot license holder who ceases to hold a license for any of the vehicles specified in rule 187 (1) (b) must immediately surrender his pilot license to the Transport Commissioner. The sign must also indicate whether the vehicle is following or ahead of the oversized vehicle.
