CUF20107 Certificate II in Creative Industries (Media)
Purpose
To tell schools about the recent modifications made to the CUF07 Screen and Media Training Package.
Background
In November 2009, CUF07 Screen and Media Training Package version 1.1 was endorsed. In this version, units imported from the CUS09 Music Training Package have been introduced. Some existing CUF07 units have been altered or replaced in CUF20107 Certificate II in Creative Industries (Media).
Information
In version 1.1 of CUF07 Screen and Media Training Package, the core unit of CUF20107 Certificate II in Creative Industries (Media) BSBOHS201A Participate in OHS processes has been replaced with CUSOHS301A Follow occupational health and safety procedures.
The coding and names of the superseded CUS01 Music Training Package units have been updated to the CUS09 Training Package units, e.g. CUSSOU04A Record sound has been replaced by
CUSSOU201A Assist with sound recordings.
Information about the CUF07 Screen and Media Training Package including VET qualifications, units of competency, modification histories, mapping details of units and assessment guideline, can be obtained from the National Training Information Services website at www.ntis.gov.au.
What you need to do
Schools that are currently registered to deliver CUF20107 Certificate II in Creative Industries (Media) on their current scope of registration need to:
complete and post an RTO2 Application to amend scope of registration — available at www.qsa.qld.edu.au (select Years 10-12 > VET > AQTF registration).
Schools not currently registered to offer CUF20107 Certificate II in Creative Industries (Media) need to:
complete and post an RTO2 Application to amend scope of registration — available at www.qsa.qld.edu.au (select Years 10-12 > VET > AQTF registration).
Schools need to submit their RTO2 Application to amend scope of registration to the QSA by Tuesday, 3 August 2010.
Principals are requested to:
tell the VET coordinator about the changes to this training package
tell staff involved in the teaching and assessment of CUF20107 about the changes to the training package
tell staff involved in entering student enrolments and completion data into SDCS about the changes to the training package
download CUF07 qualification and units of competency from NTIS website at www.ntis.gov.au
tell staff to revise all documents to reflect the new version of CUF07 Screen and Media Training Package.
