The application is nominated integrated development pursuant to Section 91 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and Section 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000 requiring concurrence from the Department of Primary Industries Water under the Water Management Act 2000.

AmenDeD DrAft locAl ApprovAls policy

Council at its meeting of 24 May 2016, resolved to place the Draft Local Approvals Policy on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.

The Local Approvals Policy seeks to provide exemption and approval criteria for:

• Placing waste storage containers in a public place (skip bins);

• Installing or altering a waste treatment device or a human waste storage facility (on-site sewage management systems);

• Using a standing vehicle or any article for the purpose of selling any article in a public place (mobile food vans and temporary food stalls); and

• Installing a domestic oil or solid fuel heating appliance (wood fire heaters).

In order to cater for future urban growth and Council’s ongoing needs, The Hills Shire Council has determined that the Kenthurst Master Plan will include:

• Extensions to the east and west of the southern field allowing for multi-use sports – soccer and cricket

• Two upgraded tennis courts

• Two all-weather surfaced ball courts

• Upgrade of public amenities/change rooms and kiosk, storage and a meeting room

• Staged upgrade to carpark allowing for 100 Cars

• Lighting for fields, tennis courts and ball courts

• Upgrade playground, a shared pedestrian/cycling trail that links the park to street frontage, barbeques and picnic shelters
