An Act to apply, out of the General Revenue, the sum of Seven Million Pounds to the Public Service for the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, nineteen hundred and

fifty~six.

[Assented to 23rd June, 1955.]

BE IT ENACTED by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows :

1. This Act may be cited as the" Supply Act (No.1), 1955". ShorUtle.

2. Out of the General Revenue of the State there shall be Issu~ and

issued and applied, from time to time, for the public service of ~¥~O:= of the State for the financial year ending the thirtieth day of June,

nineteen hundred and fifty-six, any moneys not exceeding in the whole seven million pounds.

3. (1) No payments for any establishment or service shall be ta~~o:

made out of the said moneys in excess of the rates voted for ~tea similar establishments or services on the Estimates for the

hundred and fifty-five: Provided that there may be paid out of the said moneys increases of salaries or wages fixed or prescribed by any return made under any Act relating to the public service, or by any regulation, or by any award, order, or determination of any court or other body empowered to fix or prescribe wages or salaries

(2) The Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay such increases out of the said moneys.
