An Act relating to the Rights, Powers, Duties, and Liabilities of the Garden .Suburb Commissioner under certain Acts of Parliament.

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of Sonth Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows:1. (1) This Act may be cited as the" Garden Suburb Act, 1925." Short titles.
(2) The Garden Suburb Acts, 1919 to 1921, and this Act may be cited together as the" Garden Suburb Acts, 1919 to 1925."
2. This Act is incorporated with the other Acts mentioned in Incorporation.
section 1 of this Act, and those Acts and this Act shall be read as one Act.
3. (1) For the purposes of The Metropolitan Abattoirs Act, 1908, ~ppJica~o~ tab f
the Garden Suburb Commissioner shall be deemed to be a Ml.lnicipal

~:'ro~o~[ta:Corporation and a Constituent Corporation as defined in section 3 Abattoirs Act, 1908.
of the said Act.
(2) The Garden Suburb shall be included in and form part of the metropolitan abattoirs area defined in sections 3 and 6 of the said Act.
(3) For the purpose of the assessment and liability of the Garden Suburb under Part Ill. of The Metropolitan Abattoirs Act, 1908, the Garden Suburb shall be deemed to be a Municipal Corporation which became a Constituent Corporation on the date of the com- mencement of this Act.

The Garden Suburb shall be deemed to form part of the Metropolitan County District as defined in section 3 of The Health Act Amendment Act, 1911.5.
For the purposes of rfhe Fire Brigades Act, 1913, the Garden Suburb shall be deemed to be a Municipa~ity, and to be a locality in which that Act applies, and the Garden Suburb Commissioner shall be deemed to be the Council thereof.6. For ~ll the purposes of the following Acts, namely-- (a) the Lights on Vehicles Act, 1919 ;
(b) the Impounding Act, 1920;
(c) the Width of Tires Act, 1923;
(d) the Building Act, 1923; and
(e) the R.egistration of Dogs Act, 1924,
the Garden Suburb shall be deemed to be a Municipality and the Garden Suburb Commissioner shall be deemed to be the Council thereof and the Secretary to the Garden Suburb Commissioner shall be deemed to be the Town Clerk thereof; and within the Garden Suburb the Garden Suburb Commissioner shan have and may- exercise all the rights, powers, and authorities imposed on a MuniCI- pality or Council by the said Acts; and the said Commissioner shall be subject to the duties, liabilities, and obligations imposed on a Municipality or Council hy the said Acts.

Section 28 of the Garden Suburb Act, 1919, is amended- (a) by striking out the words" thirtieth day of September"in the first and second line thereof and inserting in lieu of those words the words" fifteenth dav of December; "
and .
(b) by striking out the word" June" in the fourth 1ine thereof and inserting in lieu of that word the word" November."
