Act to amend the Camels Destruction Act,
1925,and for other purposes.

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows:1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Camels Destruction Act Short titles.
Amendment Act, 1926".
(2) The Camels Destruction Act, 1925 (which is hereinafter No. 1704 of 1925.
referred to as "the principal Act "), and this Act may be cited together as the" Camels Destruction Acts, 1925 and 1926".

3. The Commissioner of Crown Lands may, in respect of any Power to destroy

the provisions of the Crown Lands Act, 1915, or of any Act repealed by that Act, give public notice-
(a) in two issues of the Government Gazette; and
(b) in two issues of both of two daily papers circulating in the district in which the land is situate, such two notices in each paper to be given wit.h an interval of at least a week between the giving of the notices;

(3) once in a weekly newspaper circulating in the district where the land is situate,

of the intention to destroy all camels trespassing upon the land referred to in the notice. After the expiration of one month from the pUblication of the latest notice as aforesaid, any Crown lands ranger or any person authorised in that behalf by the Commissioner of Crown Lands may destroy all camels which are found trespassing upon the said land within three months after the expiration of one month as aforesaid.
The Commissioner of Crown Lands may, upon giving the requisite notices, avail himself of the provisions of this section from time to time.
4. If any licence is granted pursuant to paragraph (c) of sub- division II. of section 245 of the Crown Lands Act, 1915, with respect to any camel, and the said camel has attached round its neck a disc issued for the purpose under the authority of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, then, for the purposes of section 2 or section 3, such camel shall not, during the term of the licence, be deemed to be trespassing upon any land comprised in any notice given pursuant to either of the said sectio:p.s.·
