An Act to apply, out of the General Revenue, the sum of Two Million Pounds to the Public Service for the year ending the thirtieth day of June, nineteen hundred and forty-five.

BE IT ENACTED by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows :

hundred and forty-four, except increases of salaries or wages fixed or prescribed by any return made under any Act relating to the public service, or by any regulation, or by any award,.
order, or determination of any court or other body empowered to fix or prescribe wages or salaries.
(2) The Treasurer is hereby authorized to· pay such increases out of the said moneys.

4. (1) All money appropriated from the Governor's Appro- priation Fund to meet expenditure incurred between the thirtieth day of June, nineteen hundred and forty-four, and the commencement of this Act, shall be recouped to the Governor's Appropriation Fund out of the money voted by this Act, to the intent that the Governor shall thereafter have power to appropriate revenue under the authority of subsection (1) of section 72 of the Constitution Act, 1934-1943, to the full amount a.nd for the purposes permitted by that subsection.
(2) In this section" Governor's Appropriation Fund" means the Governor's Appropriation Fund as defined by subsection (2) of section 72 of the Constitution Act, 1934-1943.
