No.6 of 1947.

An Act to amend the Holidays Act, 1910.1935.

[Assented to 2nd October, 1947.1 . BE IT ENACTED by the Governor of the State of South

Australia, with the. advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows:

1 .. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Holidays Act Amendment Act, 1947".

(2) The Holidays Act, 1910-1935, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the" Holidays Act, 1910-1947".

(3) The Holidays Act, 1910-1935, is hereinafter called" the principal Act" .

Incorporation. 2. This Act is incorporated with the principal Act and that Act"and this Act may be read as one Act.

principal Act- prlllClpal Act after sectIOn 4 thereof:-

Bankhaif- 4a. (1) The Governor may from time to time, as he

holidays. may think fit, by proclamation published in the Govern-

ment Gazette, appoint any part of any specified day to be a bank half-holiday either-

(a) throughout the State; or

(b) within such district or locality as is specified in the proclamation.

(2) When a bank half-holiday is so proclaimed, section 7 of this Act shall apply in relation to the day on which that half-holiday occurs as if the whole of that day had been proclaimed a bank holiday.

4. The second schedule to the principal Act is amended by ~n::':t:t~~re

striking out the word" Wednesday" in the last line of Part I. ~c~ncipa.l

and inserting in lieu thereof the word" Monday". Labour day.
