My Mediasite Guide – Getting Started (Account Registration)
Introduction:
My Mediasite is a web based portal that enables individuals to create and manage content on Windows and Macintosh computers using 'Mediasite Desktop Recorder', as well as uploading User Generated video Content (UGC).
To log directly into the My Mediasite web portal, please go to:
http://webcast.massey.ac.nz/mediasite/mymediasite.

Signing into My Mediasite for the first time:
1. Go to http://webcast.massey.ac.nz/Mediasite/MyMediasite.
2. Type in your Massey University Username and Password (same as logging into your university computer) and click “Sign in” to continue.
3. Enter your Full name and Time Zone.

4. Check your details are correct and click “Continue”.
5. An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you entered with a link that you will need to click to finalise the My Mediasite Portal Registration process.
6. The link will take you to the My Mediasite Portal - Log in with your Massey University Username and Password (same as logging into your university computer).
The My Mediasite Management Portal:
Use your Massey University Username and Passcode to log into the My Mediasite Portal.
After logging into the My Mediasite home page, you will enter the My Mediasite Management portal.
From this page you can perform the following functions:
Create Presentations
Manage Presentations
Edit Presentations
NB: The preferred workflow is launch the Mediasite Desktop Recorder from My Mediasite Portal rather than start the application locally.

Installing the Mediasite Desktop Recorder
The final step in setup is to install the Mediasite Desktop Recorder software. This is a very simple application that is installed onto your computer (both Windows and Mac friendly) just once and it provides you the ability to capture:
Computer screen.
Microphone.
Web camera.
NB: You can choose to not capture your camera and only capture computer screen and audio 1. To download the Mediasite Desktop Recorder, click on the following button:
2. Once the application is downloaded and installed, you can return to the webpage you were using and click on the register button at the very bottom.
3. This may ask you if you’d like to launch an external application, click to allow, and it will automatically setup the required server information.
4. Click the Sign in button on top left to sign in using you Massey credentials and check the box to Automatically sign in when the application starts

You have now configured the Desktop Recorder application and have setup your My Mediasite Portal.
