It does not provide step-by-step instructions on the functionality of the test administrator. However, the timer will flash when the student has 10 minutes remaining and will be displayed continuously during the last five minutes of the test. You will also be able to see how much time each student has left on their test attempt through the test administrator's session dashboard on your device.
Test session time may also be affected where students have had adjustments for disabilities. The list of students allocated to the testing session will also indicate their approved disability accommodations, if any. These codes are entered against a student profile by the NAPLAN Coordinator and must be added before the student starts the test.
If you are aware of an error, contact your NAPLAN coordinator before starting the test session. See Appendix 1 for a table of DACs and actions required by the test administrator regarding disability adjustments. Professional and ethical behavior in accordance with national test administration protocols - NAPLAN online is expected in all aspects of test administration.
The literacy requirements of the Numeracy test should not exclude a student from accessing the test.

The system will then present a panel showing the title of the test they are about to take. If the domain and/or year are incorrect, the NAPLAN Coordinator must be informed immediately. If a student has an accessibility that allows them to use an unsecured browser (instead of the NAP-locked browser), provide the URL of the unsecured browser to those students on a piece of paper and help them to log in as needed.

Writing test administration script
Refer them to the writing stimulus for ideas, but do not help them with their ideas or their text. Make sure that students type their text in the writing panel in the online assessment platform. Students can access the 'Reopen Test' button if they have completed their test and decide they would like to go back to change or add to their writing.
They may not engage in 'early finisher' activities, such as reading, which may provide information or ideas for their writing. If an entire class completes the test before the allotted time, you may use discretion to manage the testing environment and finalize the testing session.

If your test has not been paused, you have about five minutes left to complete it. If you have already finished, use this time to check that you have answered all the questions. Be aware of students who may have been given extra time to accommodate a disability or disorder.
If you have already completed the test, you should have a message confirming that it has completed. If you ran out of time to complete your test, you will now have a screen asking you to click. Check that all students have closed the NAP locked browser or, as appropriate, the insecure browser.
If any test attempt could not be completed due to a test interruption, or if a student leaves the session due to illness or injury, you may not complete their attempt or complete the test session. If all test attempts have been completed, end the test session by clicking the "End Session" button on the Test Administrator dashboard. These should be returned to the NAPLAN coordinator, along with the TA session slips and any unused test codes, for safe keeping.
To ensure you meet all the requirements, you will need to see After the test on page 13. The material included in the NAPLAN reading tests is designed to engage students and assess their literacy skills.

Disability Adjustment Codes
The table below shows the available Disability Adjustment Codes (DACs), the online assessment platform adjustment, and the action required during the test session by test administrators. Organize testing environments so that students working with a NAPLAN support person do not disturb other students. Arrange testing environments so that students working with sign/oral support do not disturb other students.
None - the online assessment platform will automatically calculate and add additional time to the individual student's timer. The test administrator must ensure that the time allowed for the test corresponds to the total duration of the tests for students with extra time. Students who do not use a secure browser will need additional supervision to ensure that they do not use prohibited features such as external websites or calculators.
