New features in the Student Portal

Purpose

To tell schools about new features in the Student Portal for students in the new Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) system.

Information

The Student Portal gives students in Years 10–12 access to their learning accounts and other information relating to their senior studies. The latest release of Student Portal allows students to see the following in their learning account:

• General and Applied subject results for Unit 1 and Unit 2

• General subject results for the first summative internal assessment (when available from 19 June)

• VET results for completed competencies and qualifications

• Projected QCE eligibility based on current enrolments.

The latest release also allows students to download a certificate once they have completed the QCAA’s academic integrity course. This applies for students who previously completed the course within the Student Portal.

The information about enrolments and results that students view in the Student Portal reflects information schools, registered training organisations (RTOs) and providers of other studies contributing to the QCE have recorded in Student Management.

Access

• The Student Portal login page is accessed via a link on the myQCE website at https://myqce.qcaa.qld.edu.au.

• To register for access, students need their 10-digit learner unique identifier (LUI).

• Once students have registered, they use their nominated email and password to log in.

Future releases

Future releases of the Student Portal will include the following:

• QCAA syllabuses

• external assessment timetables

• final subject results

What you need to do

• Encourage Year 10–12 students to register to access the Student Portal at https://myqce.qcaa.qld.edu.au.

• Ensure students have their LUIs. To assist with distribution of LUI numbers, schools can export lists of student names and LUIs from the Student Management application.

• Encourage students to check their personal details and enrolments and advise the school if any information is missing or incorrect. Students are able to update their email, mobile phone and password within the Student Portal.
