Notice of Newstead Athletics Inc. AGM
** Please note 2016/17 Track and Field Season Awards will be presented prior to the commencement of the AGM
Notice is hereby given that the Newstead Athletics Inc. Annual General Meeting is to be held on Thursday 22nd June 2017 at 7.00 pm at the St Leonards Athletic Centre.
All members, life members, officials and participants are encouraged to attend. Voting rights are as per the club constitution attached. Nomination form and agenda are also attached.
Any participants in the 2017 season who have not registered with Athletics Tasmania, but wish to do so in order to have voting rights may do so via the Athletics Tasmania web site.
Newstead Athletics Inc. plans to continue to operate both cross country during winter and track &
field in the summer seasons, and would like to continue with a committee with equal representation from both groups.
The purpose of the AGM is to;
a) To confirm the minutes of the last preceding annual general meeting and of any general meeting held since that meeting;
b) To receive from the committee, auditor and servants of the Association reports as to the associations activities during the last preceding financial year
c) To elect the officers of the Association and the ordinary committee members;
d) To appoint the auditor and determine his or her remuneration.
Current committee members are: Susan McClenaghan (President), Michael Halaby (Vice President), Barbara Clayton (Secretary), Paul McShane (Treasurer), Gary Armstrong, Susan Fowler, Steve Gowans, Orysia Petterwood, Bronwyn Hefford, Mel Death, Angela Smith, Tanya Wells.
