From: The House of Assembly Member for Stuart (Mr. Gavin
' Keneally) Subject PORT AUGUSTA HOSPITAL
State Cabinet had approved the expenditure of
$1.3 million for a 26 bed addition to the Port Augusta Hospital, the Member for Stuart, Mr. Gavin Keneally said today.
Mr. Keneally said he had been informed of the project by the Minister of Health Mr. Don Banfield as stage three of the hospital re-development.
He said a building tender from J.H . Evins
Industries Pty. Ltd. had been approved for the work which should be completed by August or September, 1976.
Mr . Keneally said the work comprised the
construction of new accommodation for geriatric patients, physiotherapy and occupational therapy facilities, an
Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science laboratory and various ancillary offices.
