An Act to consolidate several Acts relating to the abridgment and interpretation of Acts of the Legislature of Queensland, for the further abridgment and interpretation of Acts of this Legislature, and for other purposes. Every Act shall be so read and construed as not to exceed the legislative power of the State, to the effect that, where any decree or provision thereof, but for this provision, would be construed as exceeding that power, it shall nevertheless be a valid act or, as the case may be, provision to the extent that it does not exceed that power.
