Vacancy Announcement (Full-time position)
Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), one of the leading private universities in the country, invites applications for the following positions under the School of Engineering, Technology and Sciences.
Lecturer, Department of Computer Science & Engineering: A Master’s Degree in the field from a recognized University. A minimum CGPA of 3 out of 4 at the Master’s degree level. Age not more than 35 at the time of appointment.
Research and Development Officer, Department of Computer Science & Engineering: B.Sc. in EEE/ETE/CSE/CEN from any reputed university. Experience in Computer Programming, computer Hardware and operating system specially Linux & MAC. This role requires ability to maintain, troubleshoot, setup and calibrate laboratory equipment (software, hardware & mechanical).
The applicant has to involve in departmental research activities and assist the faculty members and students in their research activities. S/he needs to play a major role in implementing hardware and software-based projects.
Preference will be given to the candidates having expertise in HPC, Big data, Machine learning and CUDA programming. Additional preference will be given to candidates with experience in managing HPC facilities and who have hands-on experience in such facilities.
Laboratory Technician, Department of Computer Science & Engineering: Diploma in Computer Science &
Engineering/ Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunication Engineering with 2 years experience in computer and electronics laboratory maintenance. The candidate must be familiar with electronic components used in undergraduate lab experiments. S/he must be proficient in computer networking. Candidates having working experience in lathe machine, CNC milling and other power and hand tools will be given preference.
The applicant has to provide technical support, ensure that the computers & others equipment are functioning properly at the respective laboratories and are ready for use and right materials/software are available for particular lessons. S/he has to help faculty members in their classes, repair & maintain the lab equipment etc.
